Price is good for what you get. I had the surf and turf which was a nice cut of bavette ... king prawns, fries with rosemary salt and caked in chimichurri. My partner and I both felt the dishes came too heavy with the chimichurri. Overall decent experience and would return. The peppercorn sauce was nice.
Was excited to try your steak and fries before I leave the UK. Sadly the food was kind of disappointing. I ordered a flat iron with fries. The steak turned out to be way overcooked, which by default should've been pink. The steak was very chewy and difficult to cut into. Was happy with the fries which were well seasoned. Service was great.
Perfect! I went for a romantic solo meal and left more than satisfied. I had surf and turf, with a side of Mac and cheese, and it was beautiful. Steak was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. I will definitely be back, after telling colleagues/friends to go and visit. Also shout out to the great service from the dark haired Aussie/Kiwi (sorry I couldn't pinpoint!) Thank you
Cheap but high quality. We visited second time to try their surf and turf, and the fried chicken. The fried chicken was surprisingly tender, together with garlic sauce, it was amazing. Finally, I can have corns with proper corn flavor in UK instead of bbq sauce. Highly recommend the rib corn there.
This is supposed to be “deep fried potatoes dauphinoise”. It had zero cream sauce and as you can see from the picture it was deep fried to a piece of coal. Also for some bizarre reason the tissue they brought cutlery in was soaking wet. Maybe they expected me to wrap it around the potato coals to rehydrate them? Not sure. Won’t be eating there again. Update 12/10/23: The owner was very kind to offer us meals on the house. The steak and chips were great, and the chimichurri sauce was delicious. The staff were also friendly, and it’s totally understandable they might’ve had a very busy day when I got my initial order. Hospitality isn’t an easy field.
Brilliant. Found by accident when working in Manchester. Bit difficult to find once you enter the hatch but glad a persevered. Bavette steak and dripping fries were amazing and very good value. The mac and cheese was awesome and there is good sized portion. I can see this place being great for lunchtime people or those after a quick bite early evening. Very streetfood atmosphere so would be great fun in the summer. Would definitely go back on my next visit. Would be great if they teamed up and did delivery. Highly recommended.
Had the bavette steak and fries and padron peppers because I did not know what padron oeppers were. Both were delish propely cooked. Padrom peppers look like hot peppers but are fairly mild and covered in salt crystals. Nummy.
