My Daughter spent almost £900 pounds today having two new tyres, a battery, two track rod ends and front disks and pads fitted in order to pass her MOT at Halfords who now own National Tyres. Only to fail her MOT because her engine light was on, which has been on all day. They also failed it as a third tyre now needs changing. They want £27.50 for an MOT re-test but only if they do the work but they said they couldnt fix the engine management light so how does that work. Money making machine with no customer service. My daughter left Halfords in tears due to the shortcommings of National Tyres. Avoid if possible and find a competent garage.

I’ve been going to Long Lane Bexleyheath branch for years now as the service has always been excellent. Since Halfords took over National Tyres I have found the new young manager to be much better than the previous much older manager. Will continue to go there and very much recommend them for tyres (maybe check online first for discount deals though). Excellent management and fitters - don’t loose them Halfords!

I came here at 8:30am to get my passenger rear wheel replaced with a new tyre. I had booked an appointment and arrived on time. I was able to wait whilst my wheel was changed and carry on working from my laptop in the office. I observed Shah (the manager) and another gentleman to be trying the best with appointments they had, even though they had a lot of staff sicknesses that day (it was a Monday). My wheel was replaced within an hour and I appreciated the customer service the entire way. Thanks!

Zero customer service, cannot be bothered, unfortunately like most of these garage workers with lazy attitude.

From my own experience. Fantastic place to get things done for your car. The staff were brilliant, and one guy even took the time to show me an oil leak even though I went in for a free brakes check. Have used the Bexleyheath branch before and have always found them polite and fair.

I don’t normally spend a huge time to write a review of this length but I owe it to myself to let people know that this center is full of cowboys and liers. Let me share with you my experience and then it will be up to you should you wish to use this center. I booked for my tyres to be replaced along with a few other stuff; This is my order: 4 Bridgestone Turanza T005 Tyres: 225/50 R17 98Y (Extra Load, Rim Protector fitment) 4 Extended Tyre Warranty (excludes run flats) 1 Free brake check 1 Complimentary Battery Check 1 Free repairs check 1 5 point check 1 Front wheel alignment - 50% off with code DV616 - Save £20 1 10% off 2 or more Autogreen, Avon, Bridgestone, Sailun tyres My appointment was for 0830am. The day before I called and was told that I can rock up any time as they not busy. Anyhow I arrived 1hr late as the center is opens at 0830 so I thought there is no point just waiting around. Upon arrival, entered the reception area poorly sign posted. There was a young chap at the reception who has ZERO customer service skills. He is there just to do his hours and get his money. He was doing something on the computer and just told me to wait in a rude tone. No sorry for keeping you waiting or anything. First thing he says, you’re an Hour late. The center is empty and the workers just doing jack all. Anyhow I made it clear that I was told I could come an hr late. Then he checks my order and says what’s wrong with the car. At the point I stated I dunno. He said why did you add these checks then? As far as I am aware, a check is what it says on the tin - it checks for any defects (covered under their complementary checks) Anyhow, left the key was told purposefully it will take couple of hours and the car should be ready around mid day or 1 and i will get a call. I dropped the car around 0930. Received a call around 11am. Even I was shocked at the speediness and had I known it would that be that quick we would have just waited around and avoided the £60 return Uber trip. When we went to collect the vehicle, I asked any issues found…? The same chap along with his colleagues who are just on their phones YouTubing/Facebooking said yes the car had been fully checked and no issues found. The only issues which were found were break pads are slightly worn and to keep an eye on it. I said BS and walked out. 1. There are multiple defects on the car, even a trainee apprentice would be able to pick up on these. eg, broken car door handle, wing mirror loose, steering column, engine malfunction light stating “malfunction” lol. I do understand not all these things would be picked up under a complimentary check however the few basic ones would. 2. My battery doesn’t hold charge. Have had AA out few times. Battery not tested. 3. I paid for wheel alignment. NOT DONE. What these cowboys did not expect or anticipate is I have a 24 hour continuous camera inside my car. This picks up audio and video. Due to the fact living in a high vehicle crime area. What these lying, cheating cowboys had done was. Quick 4 tyre replacement and that’s it. The reason why they said couple of hours, this gives the impression that all the above work had been carried out/inspected. No tracking, no checks, no battery check nout was done. The guy in the reception needs urgent attention and would be recommended he be spoken to and sent to a customer service course. His attitude is not for the retail world currently. Avoid this center and report them. They are operating under the franchise Halfords Autocenter.

Fitted 2 tires on the front, one of my dust caps (metallic with spider) missing and replaced with plastic one. Scratches on the wheel and very dirty. Would not recommend
