   Excellent food and service. Steaks were delicious. And the chips were really nice. Just one slight bug bear. They automatically added the service charge to the bill. So if you don't want to pay their service charge you have to tell them to take it off and then pay your own service charge. Surely the point of a service charge, or tip is that the customer gets to decide what they want to pay depending on the service they've had.

   Thought we'd try something different in the Winstanley area with friends. It was lovely, a great surprise. The tables are spaced well apart. The music wasn't loud so we could hear each other. The young staff were friendly and helpful. We chose a different starter each and all 3 were excellent. My friends chose the hot stone steaks which they both enjoyed. I chose the Cumberland sausages plus pork belly without the chillies. The pork belly really wasn't great really let the meal down. Great evening we look forward to returning.

   Hands down the best restaurant I’ve dined in so far. I have been here twice within two months because their Friday lunch deal is extremely delicious, the atmosphere is spot on and the service is excellent. Last Friday we came to celebrate my dad’s birthday with a meal and another special occasion and we received a warm welcome even though we were running late and had to amend our booking twice due to a medical emergency. They had set our table nicely, put my son‘s highchair there as per request. Drinks and food were amazing and very filling. The team went above and beyond to get our orders in before the lunch cut off time and we even had dessert and a surprise dessert for my dad. They all made it so special and worth coming there. I highly recommend this restaurant to families, couples, friends - it’s the place to be. Great value for money, extraordinary hospitality, simply top. Thank you to the team for this unforgettable day.

   We visited last Sunday on the way through to an overnight stay 30 minutes away from the restaurant, it was a must for us as we had seen some amazing reviews online for this place. With the restaurant sadly 3.5 hours from home we knew we had to try it and we were not disappointed!! My roast was nothing short of amazing, I added cauliflower cheese and WOW. The dessert was incredible, staff even kindly put a candle in it for my birthday. The roast was the nicest, tastiest roast I’ve ever had including the Cauliflower cheese. Everything was faultless, it had so much flavour and value for money on the Sunday lunch menu is brilliant. If we’re ever out this way again then we will absolutely be visiting again in a heart beat. The only thing which was disappointing is the fact you’re so far away from home.

   I have ate here countless times and every time, the food is always outstanding. The amazing presentation and wonderful flavours of all the dishes make summat to ate a go to place for special occasions. The service is always fast & friendly too. I usually go during the week when the ‘mid-week’ deal is on, which is a bargain for the quality of food you receive!

   Absolutely amazing meal tonight. Two T-bones, duck and a mix of starters for four and everything was spot on. After a really disappointing outing at the pretentious Ewe recently we went back to an old haunt for one of the kids birthdays and weren’t disappointed. Great service, great presentation and cooked perfectly. Nothing more to say other than this place and the Cherry tree are leading the way for me for a simple bloke from Howfen.

   Wow wow wow. Again another amazing meal. Sunday dinner is a right of passage at many restaurants and Kai and the whole team have created the best Sunday lunch in the North. Possibly the UK We have eaten Sunday dinner everywhere but nothing has topped this. The staff are brilliant and the chef wowed us again Great work guys Jason, Leanne and Serenity

   We haven't eaten here in ages due to work commitments, then saw Sunday Dinner advertised on Facebook, and it looked lovely. Arrived at 7.30pm, had 3 Courses, I had the Prawns, which were amazing and hubby had Black Pudding to start. His portion was massive! I didn't manage to get a taste of his as it had gone when I looked up!! We both opted for the roast beef dinner, and I am not normally a lover of a roast but OMG it was amazing, massive Yorkshires, all my favourite veg inc carrots, parsnips, cabbage, broccoli and roasties, and the gravy was rich and tasty. It did not disappoint. I then opted for the passion fruit pavlova, and hubby went for the cheesecake - again really good 'proper' portions, so unbelievably tasty. We went home happy and full to the brim!! can't wait to go again now, my taste buds are ready! My only reservation would be don't book 7.30pm unless you are a quick eater as we hadn't realised they shut at 9pm and the staff were busy clearing away and we hadn't finished, so was a bit noisy, also when paying by card, I don't think it is right that the waitress asks how much you want to pay gratuitous, they should hand you the device and you choose. Other than that the place was spotless and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
