Was given an appointment via a telephone call, time and date only, no other information regarding the appointment or subsequent text/written confirmation. Department also unavailable for contact at weekends.

Honestly, the girls that proceeded with the X-ray procedure were great but the people at the reception just aweful. A man kept taking on phone calls beside me being in front of him. He totally ignored me. The other girl, it took her like a while to find my booking and continued asking me if it was a ct scan when I repeatedly told her is an X-ray on. The first floor because that’s what the message said. Total incompetence and approximation. Very disappointed on the way they manage things in this hospital.

Coming from four hours each way from Ramachandra Hospital, Department of Nuclear Medicine, we were very happy to receive rapid fire attention and tests. Courteous and professional staff helped in all aspects of our visit. Having to return several times to complete all testing is the only drawback.

Rude receptionist, no appointments. Got referred by midwife for emergency scan at 39 weeks pregnant due to lack of growth and ill mannered girl on reception tried to give me an appointment after the due date. Had to pay 180 quid for a private one. Theyll be hearing from us again.

I use the Department here for my patients - bone density DEXA to consider osteoporosis and/ or osteopaenia, ventilation/ perfusion scans for suspected PE, and PET CT usually for the investigation or staging of cancer or inflammation. The quality of the whole service is excellent. The administrative staff are extremely good at coordinating the appointmentsp, the technical quality of the investigations and the reports - from a group of highly specialist nuclear medicine doctors - is, to my mind, world class. So much of the work for my patients is about getting the right information, rather than the quickest information; the clinical interface to make sure we pose the right questions, and answer them in the best way is invaluable, to have the imagining reports from the best specialists, working in lockstep with the various physician, surgeon, radiology, pathology, microbiology specialists is a model for how care should be delivered.
