really need to advertise spice levels! i have just ordered a chicken and steak wrap for my 7 year old and he can’t even eat it as it’s that spicy! i like spicy food but it was even too hot for me! really need to tone it down used to love going here
I recently ordered delivery from this establishment and was highly impressed with the quality and service. The chicken was exceptionally flavorful, served warm with a generous amount of sauce. The salad offered a refreshing variety of ingredients, distinguishing it from the standard lettuce-only options. The highlight was the koobideh, which was expertly seasoned, served warm, and delivered robust flavor in a substantial portion. The fries were elevated by thoughtful seasoning, a delightful departure from the norm. The restaurant consistently delivers high-quality cuisine, with prompt delivery and pricing that reflects excellent value for the quality and quantity provided. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great Food but Needs Attention to Spice Levels & Service I recently placed a large order worth £156 from Grillsters on Derby Street. Most of the food was excellent and definitely worth the price. However, the 3 full chickens were way too spicy—so much chili was used that they were too hot to eat, which spoiled part of our dinner. Recommendation to customers: When ordering, please ask how spicy you want your food. Don’t let excessive spice ruin your meal. Advice to staff: We understand you’re busy, but good customer service still matters. Please communicate clearly and treat customers with respect. Other notes: • Cash only – no card payments accepted. • No delivery service available. I strongly recommend considering card payments in future for convenience.
I absolutely love their food! I tried the mixed grilled sizzler and the spicy peri peri burger, and both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place—I’ll definitely be back to try more!
Was really busy when we visited and the seating area is abit squashed but the food was amazing. I'd recommend you try the Turkish donner calzone and the nachos as it was just perfect.
I went the Grillsters, formerly known as Grillaz because of a recommendation from a friend who is a foodie, he told me I had to come here to try the Donner! Once I tucked into my food i understood why he told me to go here, honestly one of the best Donners I have tasted, I had Doner with Steak, the flavour was amazing amd it was so tender, service was great, it was really busy in here, I sat up top but I got told there was more seating after I ate. One thing I know, I will definitely go back if I'm in the area.
I attended Grillsters Bolton (formally known as Grillaz) on the Monday the 19th September. Luckily, I called up earlier and asked if they take card was advised cash only. We arrived 17:34 outside at the establishment we were lucky to find a car parking space on the main road on Derby Street as the side street are not the best for parking BUT you can park further up the road. We entered and it was semi busy and we ordered: Steak & Chicken Sizzler with Cheese and Rice Chicken Sizzler with Rice and Chips 6 x BBQ Peri Chicken Wings 2 x drinks (water bottle and Rubicon Mango can) I can remember to exact total due to the time I posting this but I think it was around £32 area. Honestly, I thought the cost was going to be around £30 or less but I guess the cost is going up everywhere. Food took around 20 minutes to arrive. Alhamdulillah no complaints about the food everything was good, the only thing I did notice was the cheese was white where cheese is normally yellow (I guess they put pizza cheese on the food, wasn’t issue still tasted great). Service was good the brother who took the order was friendly, I did notice as we were eating and before we left it was getting really busy on deliveries so this place must be good. The only down side I can think of is the seating upstairs is very tight but I guess that is to maximise on the small space they have for customers to sit down and eat (I have eaten below when the business was called Grillaz and the seating is fine there, so this is not the first time I have been here), also you would struggle to get parking on the main road at busy periods but you could park quite further away or in some side street.
Ordered several items from the menu for the family. Chicken Fillet burger was nice, philly steak was a bit hard, the meat pieces were a bit too crisp. Kobeda was delicious. Spicy Fillet burger was nice too as was the lemon and herb chicken. Portions were good size. The place is a bit small and can get a bit nippy every time the door opens. Service was great though and we would come again.
Last time I went here (a few years ago) it was called Grillaz, now it's Grillsters, although some of the inside branding still says Grillaz! Anyway, onto the food. We ordered a chicken calzone, veggie pizza, a chicken sizzler and a chicken burger. By and large, the food was fantastic, with the delicious, piping-hot calzone and pizza being worthy of a special mention. The burger was good but, like other burgers I've had, the bun was too small for the filling resulting in everything spilling out and ultimately ending up as a pretty messy eat. I'd perhaps also give the sizzler a miss next time too - hint: the best chicken steak sizzler mix is literally one minute away. I also wasn't too enamoured by the sauces, not even sure what the pink one was?! The restaurant was pretty busy, but service was very quick, friendly staff and parking available down the side street. I did not see any covid safety stuff going on, no masks, no disinfectants, no table and seat cleaning. That aside, highly recommended and would go again.
