We brought our 11-month-old in for his first haircut and booked specifically for a scissors cut. Our baby was so good the entire time and only became a little unsettled for a brief moment, yet Mike quickly became impatient and tried to use clippers. When we refused, he said he had to use them or he’d “cut his finger,” and then added, “Or I can just leave it like this, long at the back then.” Both comments felt dismissive and unprofessional. There was also very no interaction throughout the appointment, which made the experience cold. I would not recommend this salon for a first haircut. We had been loyal customers, bringing our older son here for over a year, but after this, we won’t be returning. Sadly, they’ve lost two customers today.

To be honest really disappointed. I booked the my first haircut package. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment and I waited about 15 minutes before the lady asked if I was a walk in. I said no I made an appointment she said oh you must be with Mike he’s next door. So I didn’t have to wait at all but he wasn’t there. The lady seemed in a mood as there had been traffic on winwick road which made her late. Mike came in no chit chat no chance to take pics in the car just straight away ‘how much do you want off’. It’s a big deal for me my boy was 18 months with a head full of curls. He did cut his hair as I asked but he didn’t interact with my child once. I was really disappointed with the whole experience. He didn’t ask his name he asked me to fill his name in on the ‘certificate’ I get. Wouldn’t recommend when you’ve built yourself up to the first haircut. Salon also could do with some updating looking a bit run down inside.

Really mixed feelings about this salon. Firstly the smell of urine was you walked in the door was awful. Knowing it’s a children’s place we looked around at the floor and seating assuming someone had had an accident, but we couldn’t see anything. My granddaughter loved the choice of vehicles to sit in, and this really helped make her first haircut a pleasant experience, however the lady cutting her hair wasn’t very child friendly or engaging. I understand she must get fed up dealing with children day in day out, but surely if you choose to work in a kids salon, you should be able to interact with them?! Im glad we went as it made the first haircut experience okay. We wouldn't return though, as a, the smell was awful, and b, we want someone who can actually chat and engage with a child.

Great place for a first haircut. Leanne did a fantastic job and restyled both my children's hair. They both love their new hairstyles and it was a great relaxed environment. One loved the themed hair chairs and one wanted cuddles on the chair while having his first cut - Louise worked around him and he loves his new hairstyle. We will be back

I took my little boy for his first hair cut today. We also took his twin sister (who wasn’t having her hair cut but we brought her to watch) Zach cut his hair and was very calm, patient and reassuring with him. Initially, my little boy sat in the car, Zach gave him the IPad and offered a few different toys when my little boy started to get upset. Eventually, because my little boy wanted me to hold him, Zach offered us to sit on the chair whilst he cut his hair. Again, he was just so lovely, offering high-fives, smiles and kind words. When it came to the clippers, Zach showed George the clippers and demonstrated that it didn’t hurt, my putting them on his own hand and offering George to do the same. Zach is a quiet, calm, patient hairdresser who made my whole family completely feel at ease. Complete with a lock of hair, balloon and certificate, my little boy looks so neat and tidy. Thank you Zach!

Totally disappointed in the way myself and my daughter been treated just in your salon, I made an appointment and advised you my daughter has autism and scared about hair being done so made a distressed appointment especially for her. I drove across town as I wanted a professional appointment with time to manage her hair and behaviour as it’s been really rough with learning on her diagnoses and after waiting for 30 mins you told us you didn’t have time to do her hair. I managed to get her hair as best I could before the visit. She was so distressed after we left it’s taken be over an hour to calm her down. She was all excited to be in the yellow motorbike to be taken off and dismissed. You advertise yourselves as a service for children and children in distressed but your totally failed on that today and upset a little girl and her mother for such an important appointment to get her hair ready for Christmas.

For someone who is supposed to accommodate all children, your not very understanding and RUDE. My son has special needs and he's hit and miss with hair cuts. I advised the lady he needed a distress last time she insisted no it's OK just come on a walk in or book a normal appointment. So I came in understanding it may be hit or miss whether he has it done. My son wouldn't have his hair cut by the male hair dresser and I looked for an appointment while I was in there and there was a few left so I booked one and was going to wait. I was the told well actually shouted at abruptly in front of a room full of people by the female 'I have someone who's late so I don't have time. I won't be cutting his hair'. All why I'm trying to calm my son. There is just NO need it's hard enough trying to get my sons hair cut but to be spoken to like that. You should be ashamed of yourself. I won't be using this hair dressers again and I'm disgusted.

small space as is shared with a barber shop but nicely decorated for kids, they have 3 kids seats to pick from, little tv or tablet in front with cartoons playing, friendly staff and they get a sweet at the end of their cut. got my daughter here for her first cut.
