   I’ve been going to Colourbox on Eccleston, St Helens for years and I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else. Jane, Sam and Jess are always so friendly yet completely professional. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they really listen to what you want. I absolutely love my hair every time I visit and always get compliments thanks to their amazing work. They use the best products and their prices are really competitive. Highly recommend Colourbox — fantastic team, fantastic results! Oh! I nearly forgot, they make my tea just how I like it.

   Horrible nasty little Salon, I will never return and would not recommend it too anyone. Avoid this place like the plague. The staff member was more interested in discussing Saturday night plans than concentrating on my hair.. While there I had to endure the constant complaining of the male stylist, seems he feels he’s not being paid enough and was actively criticising the owner of the salon. It does not fill you with confidence when he states, “ He hates the place”... “ I don’t get paid enough for what I do” and to top it all off “ the clients are boring” Not what I want when I want to relax and enjoy my treatment. NEVER EVER AGAIN !!!!!!! Be warned, expensive and not a good experience at all. I would suggest a manager is needed to turn this place around before it’s too late.

   I booked an appointment here and specifically asked for a subtle blonde ombré to match my natural colour (light ginger) as I had a lot of root. Instead, I was left with bright red hair with darker patches on one side of my head, followed by uneven blonde streaks as demonstrated on the photos above. The hairdressers were very polite and were happy to fix this as it was not what I asked for. I returned a few days later and was gently told that they would use a 'cleanser' on my hair that would cleanse the red out, however they did not inform me that a cleanser was a peroxide hair stripper. The 'cleanser' stripped out the red and all of my natural hair, turning it different shades of peach, orange and white. I was told that this was the closest that they could get to my natural hair colour. It will now take years for me to get back to my natural colour, not to mention an expensive process. If I was informed that they did not know how to match my natural hair colour, I would of been happy to have not gone forward with the process. I have approached other hairdressers since, who cannot quite believe the condition they have left my hair in.

   Shocking - I was ordered by the business owner to pay for my hair appointment upfront because I had missed one previous appointment due to a child related illness which took priority at that time. The way in which I was addressed was most unpleasant and upsetting, not to mention the height of bad manners. I had heard lots of negative comments about this salon however I overlooked this as petty gossip but it is now quite clear that the opinions of others are much validated by my own shocking experience at the hands of one of the most unpleasant people in business in st helens - you just dont speak to people like this, its totally unacceptable.
