   I cannot recommend D.S. Preston Motors highly enough. My recent experience with them was genuinely exceptional, turning a nightmare situation into an immediate relief. I was in an absolute panic and a significant amount of stress when my car unexpectedly broke down. I l needed help and the closest to the area was D.S. Preston Motors who stepped up straight away. They didn't just fit me in; they handled my situation with immediate priority and genuine empathy. The service was not only incredibly professional but also wonderfully kind and reassuring during a very stressful time. They quickly diagnosed the issue, communicated everything clearly and had my car fixed efficiently. They are truly fantastic mechanics and people. If you are looking for a place you can trust, this is the only place to go. If I were to recommend any place for car service or repairs, it would be D.S. Preston Motors, every single time. Elyce.

   I took my car here due to a misfire in cylinder 3. As I have a low mileage car I suspected a coil pack or spark plug. When I arrived I stated what I suspected it could have been, I got laughed at which was annoying when it did turn out to be what I suspected it would be. They called me and quoted me a price for all the coil packs and spark plugs to be replaced although only 1 coil pack needed repair so I said just to replace this. I asked them to also only do 1 of the spark plugs if it was faulty even though the spark plugs were changed recently and didn’t need doing but they rejected this and would only repair the 1 faulty coil pack if I paid for all the spark plugs to be done on top. 1 x coil pack (max £50) 3 x spark plugs (forced to replace) (max £30 for all 3) £240 total price (labour charge of £160) The price was high for a cheap change of parts and simple job. They held my car for over 8 hours for a coil change and spark plugs and charged me for a ridiculous amount of labour hours when I already stated the issue which was laughed at. I received the receipt after paying for the repairs that I requested (customer rejected all coil packs to be changed) this should not have been on the receipt, the receipt should only state what I paid for and requested. They also stated I should have my ‘wet belt’ replaced soon and told me the price would be around £1300 - this is also on the paperwork for a job that is around half this price or less then other quoted garages. I took it to another garage as my car is not near the mileage for the cam belt to be changed and they checked the cam belt and appeared to be fine and should be replaced when at the recommended mileage for the change. I’ve taken multiple cars to them and used them a few times now as they are close to my work. Regardless of high labour costs and less then satisfactory customer communications they completed the work required therefore the 3 stars, although this last visit was a bit irritating due to the above issues.

   Gotta say I was dubious at first had driven past these guys on a numerous occasion but After an emergency breakdown, the AA recommended these chefs and I’ve got to say they were great! Kept me posted throughout, which was key! Thanks guys!!!

   If I could give zero stars, I would. Three of us took our cars to this garage for full services, trusting them to do a professional job. Not only were we charged full price, but we later discovered that essential parts of the service weren't even done on all three vehicles. Basic checks and maintenance that we paid for were completely skipped, yet they had no problem taking our money.& on 1 car notice something broken. This isn't just bad business-it's dishonest. When confronted, they offered no reasonable explanation and showed no interest in resolving the issue. If you value your car and your money, steer clear of this place. There are plenty of honest mechanics out there, but this garage isn't one of them.

   Myself and my friends have had negative experiences here from being charged 40~ pounds for fitting a relay (which costs at most £10) and they over torqued a lug nut, which meant the stud had to be replaced. I whole heartedly recommend you go anywhere else.
