   I really don't know where to start. Took my 2020 Audi A3 to Mike originally back in March with a creaking noise on the right side front and couple of other jobs. Appreciate it's not always easy to diagnose noises, so drop link and ball joint changed. A further creaking noise then emerged from the left side which resulted in the drop link and ball joint being changed along with the cv joint at my request. In hindsight that probably didn't need changing but seemed logical as it was stripped down anyway. I then realised my top mounts and bearings were clunking which is common on the A3. Mike changed those and replaced the shock absorbers at the same time which also seemed logical. The following day I drove to Redhill and back and it seemed great with no further noises. The following morning driving to work further creaking noise started. I went back to Mike to do the front brakes which have been OK and to check the noise. He retigtened the top mounts put some grease here and there but didn't have a solution and the creaking continued, getting worse as time went on. I decided to take the car an Audi specialist in Merrow who are a superb outfit and only £14 an hour more than Mike. They initially spent time diagnosing the issue which was down to ill fitted and poor quality parts, namely the top mounts and bearings, drop links and shock absorbers. Not torqued up correctly and not original bolts used. By the time I eventually got it fully sorted last week it sounded so bad that you might have thought something was going to snap. It was embarrassing to drive. It has also cost me a considerable amount of money and time to get properly sorted. Mike may be fine for basic servicing, brake pads etc but I advise to avoid if you require anything a little complicated or have a really nice car that isn't very old.

If you are looking for car repairs in Cobham, or close to the A3, I highly recommend Mike. Apart from his obvious mechanical skills Mike clearly has a passion for, and deep knowledge of, cars. Highly recommended. Updated Dec 2022 I have returned to Mike with my MX5 and my wife's Kia Sportage for both service and MOT. Mike has made it all hassle free: on time, quality work at a very competitive price. I have complete trust in him with my cars. Really nice guy too.

   Found mike on google and noticed the good reviews so decided to go and meet him to talk about my car. Really nice chap, easy to talk too. Mikes knows what he is talking about and clearly has a lot of history dealing with vehicles, so it gives you the confidence to go back to him! I was able to quickly arrange a day to service my car and weld the exhaust back. All was done within a day and was all reasonably priced! I will definitely go back to mike in the future!
