Went to Flair to pay for a trail for my prom up-do; it was suggested by my mum when she drove past and saw it, thinking it would be ideal to get my hair done there. However, the staff were intimidating and disrespectful. Quite inexperienced especially when one stylist didn't want other members of staff watching her style my hair as she "wasn't able to work properly with someone looking". One other member of staff, while styling my hair looked bored, tired, as if it was wasting her time. She didn't smile or even start some form of friendly conversation, and whenever I would tell her to change my hair a bit (such as add volume, loosen braid), she would look offended and somewhat grief-stricken, as if I wasn't pleased with what she did with my hair. The staff also implied that with my type of hair, long, thick and dark, the hairstyles I could wear are very limited; they made it seem like having long thick hair is a bad thing. I would have thought that experienced stylists would know what to do with my hair, that anything could be possible, but apparently with the staff at Flair, that was not. With that bad experience, my mum and I decided to never go there again. We ended up going to Toni&Guy in the City Centre, where we received much better customer service and much better styling with my so-called "long thick hair". I had a great prom night knowing my hair was perfectly and professionally done by very experienced and friendly stylists.
