   My daughter had her braids done at Ebony salon for a few years now, and the quality of work has always been excellent. This review reflects on the professionalism of the proprietor rather than her skill. My daughter was booked for her box braids appointment a few days ago at 1.30pm. We have set off from home at 12pm, as we had to pop to the hair shop to buy the extentions. I received a text from the owner to ask if we could come at 2pm, as her previous client was running late. I agreed to that, and said we will grab somwthing to eat and come at 2pm. We turned up at 2pm on the dot, and the previous client was just seated in the hair washing area having her hair washed. I took my daughter to a nearby ASDA to go to the toilet, as the toilet in the salon was out of order. We returned 15 mins later to find the previous client still in the hair washing area. My daughter was seated in one of the chairs, as the owner started working on the previous client. At 2.45pm I asked her when is she likely to start working on my daughter, and she explained that she called her daughter who is coming to help, and she will start then. I let her know that I was not happy to be waiting so long, as by then it was already 1.5 hours later than our original appointment, and my daughter's braids usually take 3-4 hours. The owner asked me when do I need to leave and that she will try and work around that, to which I replied that I don't want her to rush the job, and that it really isn't about me needing to leave at certain time, but rather the fact that my time doesn't seem to be valued by the owner. It is beyond comprehensible to make a client, who was on time, with an autistic 14 year old child, wait because another client was late. There was absolutely no recognition that this was unacceptable, and the lady that was late for her appointment offered no apology whatsoever. I wanted to leave then and there, but I knew my daughter would have had a meltdown and would not understand the reason why. The owner proceeded to do my daughter's braids finally, but ignored me for the duration of the appointment as if I wasn't a paying customer. I am sad to say that we will not be returning to Ebony hair salon, and although the quality of work is good, the attitude and the professionalism are appalling.

   I braided my hair here yesterday..The owner of the salon is a Ghanaian...very friendly atmosphere.. She will make you feel comfortable.. She braids all kinds of hair..she braids so fast and she has a Sudan lady helping her out..she let me use her Wi-Fi
