Mr Ajay Kumar was amazing today and has been consulting me since Nov 2024 for a number of joint issues He's been very professional and prompt and helped me in my physical health journey and I'm glad he is part of the surgery He's an asset here and we need more physiotherapists like him Regards Mr K Seth

AVOID this surgery at all costs! Prescribing Clarks, Becky & Sam, are brilliant at their job and make every effort to fix the multiple mistakes made by the various GP’s. Adam Scattergood is the only clinical worker who should be working there, absolutely brilliant. Apart from Sandra and occasionally Vicki all other receptionists are rude, unprofessional, unhelpful and bad mouth the patients when they put them on hold. GP’s and clinicians are rude, unprofessional and frankly seem to have a competition going on as to who can be worse at their job. Only redeeming qualities to this surgery are Adam, Becky, Sam & Sandra’s efforts, thank you! Still haven’t managed to speak to the practice manager after 4 weeks of chasing, starting to wonder if this person actually exists. Do not understand how clinician Martin Doherty has not been sacked yet, they truly live up to the name harlequin surgery - they are a complete joke run by court jesters!

I had a text from the surgery to say my appt had been booked. I hadn't booked one. I called the surgery and after a 20 min wait, the lovely receptionist didn't know why it had been booked either. It was cancelled. My husband had an appt for flu jab wednesday, he's had 2 missed calls from the surgery today ( no message left ). 35 mins in the Q they don't why the Dr rang. So have to wait until he calls back. It's not acceptable to be left waiting and worrying why a Dr has called twice. To be honest it stresses you out and frankly its not on. A lovely nurse at that surgery has stopped me from being totally honest about the dreadful service because she is so lovely. Its out of respect for her ive not said more.

Requested an appointment Online called me to ask if I could do 2 o’clock arrived at Just before 2 o’clock, 30 minutes later, still sat In the waiting room with not another Person waiting, ask the receptionist what the hold up was she said she would contact the doctor and still sat there Absolutely disgusting making people wait. I’ve took time out of my work lunch break to come definitely going to look at to join another surgery. This is beyond a joke. Now it happens every time I make an appointment which is very rare.

Im a mom of 6, i have children with special needs and as much as there are a few really good doctors here you can never get an appointment to be seen at this surgery, its just an awful system they have got going on, I'm not surprised they are loosing so many patients, I my self shall be looking for a better surgery. This one has gone down hill. Which is ashame it used to be a good practice! Wouldn't recommend as you'll highly likely not get seen.

I think many people have used the google reviews system to air their frustrations and have a moan about the Harlequin! some of these reviews are unfair and I strongly suspect, untrue. The truth is that Harlequin and its entire staff are under an enormous amount of pressure whilst they do their level best to provide healthcare for the ever increasing local community. I have been a patient of this practice for approximately 9 years and in that time, have not had reason to submit a single complaint. Of course, some of the procedures can be irritating and annoying, but when you combine healthcare with the associated records and then the relevant data protection issues, things become complicated. Now throw in many many prescription requests and lots of poorly people clambering for appointments with GP,s who are in short supply and it should make us all wonder how on earth the front line staff keep smiling. The thorough and prompt attention afforded to both my partner and myself, on the same day as writing this review, was nothing short of excellent and we are both very grateful indeed. I would respectfully suggest that we, as a community should support our health care providers by being courteous and respectful. If they had unlimited appointments I’m sure we’d all get one, if a prescription has gone astray, it’s far more likely to be a genuine mistake than negligence. I believe our patience would be rewarded. The entire staff of The Harlequin Surgery … I salute you all !!!

Impossible to get them to even answer the phone, nevermind get an actual appointment! Why not employ another receptionist to answer calls if they're so busy? Disgraceful!
