My sisters attend this doctors and the service is a complete joke . Receptionists don’t know what they are doing, they are on the phone for ages trying to get an appointment and when they get to the front of the queue it cuts you off. Most of the doctors are different every time they visit . Shocking

I phoned today I was 16th in the queue so I opted for the call back. I got a call back about I hour later answered the phone and was cut off. I rang the surgery yet again tobe told by the automotive voice I was 16 in the queue. I have now requested another call back. This surgery is becoming a joke. I may start looking for a more responsive doctors. The 1 star is one too many but you cannot give a 0.

I would advise patients never to use the self check in and always go to the reception first. This is based off my own bad experience. If your appointment has been cancelled nobody can be bothered to contact you. And the computer still lets you login for your appointment and doesn't inform you of the cancellation. So you can be left waiting around for nothing. Terrible self service. The receptionist was also very rude and unhelpful and even tried to put the blame on me suggesting that I might have missed a call. Which was a lie and not the case at all.

Today I put an online request for an apointment for my daughter (4) at 5:05pm had a phone call at 5.25pm was seen by dr who checked my daughter over and gave her antibiotics for tonsilitus. I have been part of the mirfield surgery since i was 2 or 3 (30+ years) and always feel the care they gave me and my children excellent. Not had a problem with the booking system.or getting an appointmenr

Since moving to Lea Hall and joining the local Mirfield surgery, the staff have been helpful with all the paperwork and advice. Yes, there have been a few times when we had to wait on the phone for appointments, but that's no way bad or different from other surgeries. These staff members are invaluable and try to get you an appointment somehow. The two reception girls, Samaya and Zara, are exceptional. Now I need to say that even the practice manager, whom I have met only twice since moving, remembers me and has been very helpful when there is paperwork that needs doing and with directions on how to go about getting stuff done. Dr Ahmed, who has seen me a few times, especially after an operation, was so good to explain to me the procedure, which was very illuminating, as the hospital did not explain much to me post op.

Doctors take their time, they listen attentively and will make you feel comfortable. The doctors will always refer if need be and will aim to sort you out there and then if possible. The practice manager is brilliant, not only is she a positive person, she's very willing and helpful. Time is not a main concern for her or the doctors, it's all about the patients and what they need. A rare quality.

I have Been at this Surgery for many years (Off/On). Right back to when Hillary was the receptionist, never had an issue then may I add! I know the NHS are overwhelmed at present but this goes back before then, call to make an appointment, call back tomorrow 8:30, even if you do not want an urgent appointment the answer is still the same, you call back the next morning sitting in a que again to be told there is no appointments left try again tomorrow, I once did this for 9 straight days (excluding the weekends obviously). More recently, today, my son has been sent home from school unwell so I call to get an appointment, same answer call back tomorrow, or go to badger, so they send me the link for badger and guess what no appointments available, try to call doctors back to ask what to do no answer for over 15 mins, so I give up, now on hold for 111 22:00 mins and counting. How long are you going to run the same system of call at 8:30 before you realize it does not work? Your procedures & management at this surgery need an overhaul, you wonder why you need to put a disclaimer as a pre recorded message that staff may hang up on you if you get frustrated, this is why because I have witnessed better management, compassion & people skills at my dogs Vet! If you have constantly not enough appointments because over the past say 5 years I have not once been able to just call and get an appointment, then maybe, just maybe look at getting more GP`s or less patients! Edit: After waiting on the phone to 111 was told to call the gp back as my son needs to be seen there, called the gp back and after 50 mins of being on hold guess what told to call back at 8:30 .............................

I can not explain in my words how happy I am with this surgery, I have joined the surgery in Oct 2022 and from ordering prescription to booking blood test to speaking to a Dr everything is so easy, better than my old surgery. The receptionist team, the practice nurse Melanie the Drs everyone is working really hard and a great team. Thanks

I had found a lump on my daughter's thigh, thus prompted me to call and book an appointment which the surgery graced timely. My daughter was seen face to face by a female doctor and made a referral to Children's hospital the next day where my daughter had a scan and bloods taken. Luckily, it was only an infection thus she was put on antibiotic. I am thankful for the prompt response of the Surgery, from the reception to its doctors.

Awful service, never even got an appointment with the doctor regardless of me phoning when the lines opened. The receptionist was very rude and abrupt, and seemed to dismiss my medical concerns despite not being a medical professional. I wish I could review the doctor but getting through to them is like getting through to the president of the United States. Overall, very poor service which could be improved by a change of receptionist personnel. I will be changing to a different doctors surgery after this experience. I give them a (0 ) ZERO star.
