   Bunch of crooks! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! My brother when there the other day for a repair, he was quoted £120 for the works. He came back to pick up the car and was given a bill for almost £500! Giving him all sorts of nonsense to justify the bill. If the works was needed, surly they needed to call first and agree before carrying out the work. No prior agreement to the works. When challenged, they said we had to do this work and that work and it is what it is. You have to pay this or you are not taking the car! Threating and holding him to ransom!!! This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable! They also said call the police, sue us if you want, we don’t care! Unbelievable! We found out that they do these kind of things all the time! Not going to accept this behaviour! Just reported them to the Trading Standards. Disgraceful!!

   Great customer service by Robbie. Friendly and very patient with all of my questions. Had my car tyre puncture repaired and also replaced a tyre. Good effortless work. Just a piece of suggestion, although price seems to be reasonable, it would be great if FJD can let customer know about the breakdown of the charges upfront.

   AVOID this place at all costs! A simple tyre change needlessly ended up turning into a nightmare and leaving me out of pocket AND without my vehicle for a day. I booked & paid for tyre fitting here via blackcircles, they ruined the wheel studs on my truck by getting trigger happy with the impact gun rather than seating the bolts on correctly by hand and torqueing them down to spec. The owner argued with me saying that you can use the gun first and then torque after... The reason this is wrong is very simple, if you use the gun first, it will almost certainly over torque the wheel nuts, which means when you come to check with a torque wrench they will be way past spec, so you will have to back them down to the correct spec... This risks cross threading and/or stripping the studs... which is exactly what happened to my truck. They over torqued them so badly and cross threaded them, that upon trying to back them out, they snapped one stud clean off, and the others they couldn't even get the nuts off, so they had to take a grinder to the wheel studs/nuts and cut them off! Thankfully I had taken photos after they took the wheel off showing the studs in absolutely normal condition. As you can imagine, I was not happy, the process of cutting off the wheel studs left marks on my wheel and wheel hub and ended up with me needing to go and source 6 new wheel studs and nuts which cost £46. After much back and fourth, the owner shook my hand that evening and promised to sort it out, so I held off on leaving this review, but the following morning after I arrived with the new studs and nuts, he didn't want to reimburse me for the cost of the studs/nuts even though it was their fault! I didn't even ask for the fuel costs back and fourth to the dealer or compensation for a day's work lost OR the damage to my wheel! It gets worse... The following day, after getting the whole ordeal over with, I noticed a wobble at high speed, so I took it to a place I trust, told them I suspected they weren't balanced correctly and low and behold, my wheels were out of balance! So it ended up costing me even more money to rebalance all of the wheels, of which one was out by 140g! Avoid avoid avoid, terrible business practice, I will be following up my complaint to blackcircles too as this is simply unacceptable.

   I had a puncture 2 weeks ago managed to get car to this garage , at 8am , the lovley family run garage helped me get back on the road with in a hour so I can carry on working ( uber driver ) , good service nice people

   I would advice to stay well away from these guys! They will quote you for repair that does not need doing this happened to me and also a friend of mine. Ended up taking my car to another garage who said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the parts they had said needed replacing! THIEVES!!

   Water pump went on Boxing Day. Needed to get home (300 miles away) the next day. Phoned a few garages, no-one open but the boss at FJD rang me back. Got me in at 8.00 next morning, part ordered and fitted and I was on the road by 2.00pm. Great service and a fair price. Thanks fellas, you saved the day.

   Fred and his team have always given us excellent service looking after the cars in our family over the last 30 years. Friendly, prompt, professional, caring and really good value. Last week, they excelled themselves and were outstanding when the car died (not jump-start possible, and automatic trans=mission locked in the middle of a busy road). Fred arranged two of his team to attend in less than 10 minutes, they took the car away and returned it home the same day. Outstanding and a massive thank you appreciation.    I have been using FJD's services for thirty years and have always found them reliable, efficient and reasonably priced. They pick up and return my car for regular servicing, MOT and repairs, and take care of it without fuss or bother. Their employees are unfailingly courteous and heplful. Fred is straight and upfront about likely repair costs, and although these are sometimes high, I doubt you would find them cheaper anywhere else. I have recommended FJD to a number of my friends who all have told me that they have never received such good service at such a reasonable price anywhere else. I suspect that the people who have given one star reviews here do not have much experience of different garages or a realistic appreciation of the costs of car maintenance. Fred and his team at FJD are extremely able mechanics who offer excellent value for money. Don't just take my word for it - try them for yourself and make your own judgement.
