   Normally, when you book a time for your MOT you usually have to be on time. Unfortunately, with Citygate they were rather the late ones. Booking time was for 10:00am wasn’t seen till around 10:30am The internet went down (which can happen) so I bared with it. From my experience MOT’s can take up to an hour. So I thought I would be sitting and waiting only to be told that the vehicle may be ready around 5pm. Very odd but I guess Citygate VW does things differently. I was told by the service advisor I would get calls and updates but this was not the case. I had to ring up myself to find out what was going on. I was informed that the MOT had failed (fair enough) and that a new part was needed and could take up to two working days. Possibly meaning my car would have been there till Thursday the latest, with no guarantee the MOT would be done the same day. For my peace of mind, I decided to collect my vehicle take it to a different organisation, had the repairs, service (all genuine parts) and MOT done in a day with a more straightforward efficient service team. Hot chocolate seemed to be the only good thing here. I won’t be using Citygate VW again.

   Purchased an approved used caddy van in 2023 only 1 year old with under 10k on the clock. It’s had a low voltage warning pop up on dash and various other related issues to the charging system. Being an old school 2.0 diesel you wouldn’t expect this. Cirtygate have fobbed me off and keep claiming this problem does not exist and keep returning the van undiagnosed! 2 years later I’m still fighting a losing battle especially with the van just out of warranty. I will never use Citygate again.

   Staff in the office that check you in are lovely and helpful but who ever is doing the services clearly isn’t doing their job properly. For the last 2 years I’ve had things pop up right after service and MOT, my oil levels are always low and coolant almost empty just weeks after service, and no I don’t have a leak. The complimentary car wash is awful. What am I paying all this money for? Please sort it out VW!

   I’ve been visiting here since purchasing my commercial van mid-2021! I’ve unfortunately had to visit many times but don’t blame the garage for this! I’ve had numerous technical issues and thankfully recently they seem to have been rectified! Thanks to Amir and his team who have all treated me with great care!

   They are untidy, didn't check things b4 letting out I have not see garage like that when you bought vehicle from dealer you drove with assurance that everything properly check and ok by senior staff that take responsibility.

   Customer focused, quick and helpful staff. Could manage to get an appointment on the same day for 3pm due to headlight issue, staff starting from reception was polite and kind. They couldn't fix the issue on the same day, but offered courtesy car and next day morning my car was ready. Thank you for good service!
