   I had to complete an online form. I asked gor a face to face and I specified a time and a doctor. I received a reply within an hour with a 2.30 face to face appointment. I attended the surgery with my mom as it was her appointment. We saw Dr Hannah as requested. She was extremely welcoming and put my mom at ease. She was very knowledgeable and was able to help my mom arranging further appointments and follow ups aswell.

   Our experience with Victoria Road GP Surgery has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable. We registered at the beginning of October and clearly informed them that my wife is pregnant. Despite this, they delayed booking her in and failed to provide timely care. They assigned her a midwife who, shockingly, has been on sick leave since the very first day. It has now been over two months, and no replacement midwife has been assigned. My wife is still left without any midwife support during a crucial stage of her pregnancy. To make matters worse, GP practitioner Ms. Wilkinson carried out an incorrect assessment, even after being informed about my wife’s pregnancy. She referred my wife to a physiotherapist who does not treat pregnant patients. This not only wasted our valuable time but also worsened her condition. The surgery has shown zero concern about the ongoing issue of my wife having no assigned midwife. Overall, the level of negligence, poor communication, and lack of care from this GP surgery is extremely worrying. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when relying on them for important medical support.

   This review is specifically for Dr Caruana, the first doctor I’ve seen in recent years that hasn’t searched my symptoms on Google with it on her screen before my arrival nor has searched it while I told her my symptoms. I’ve seen her twice and Dr Caruana has consistently been fantastic, thorough and her level of knowledge is phenomenal. She is timely, if she says she will call you, she will. If she tells you she will refer you, you don’t need to chase it up with the surgery. She is patient centred and extremely empathetic. You don’t have to dictate or convince her to refer you, she is ahead of the game and never has to consult a colleague as others often do. I can honestly say Doctors like her no longer exist.

   Receptionist staff are just rude. Doctors are friendly but can’t say the same about solving issues. My daughter been suffering for months with her ear. After repeat visits and being told she had been referred to ENT and after chasing it up apparently she hadn’t so another one got sent. Gave me eye drops for her ear without even looking at it. Still no follow up on her just lefted at 7 year old in constant pain. Never truly satisfied with the treatment to me and my children therefore have decided to leave. Receptionist needs new training on how to speak to patients. The nurse is lovely and cannot say a bad thing. Never see the same doctor though as constantly changing or have agency in.

   Popped in today just on the off chance of some help…the receptionist was great and the doctor (who I think was on his lunch) was fantastic…cannot fault the service I got there today

   Fantastic surgery, the receptionists are always helpful and the doctors are doing their best to help patients in the limited time they have. Yes sometimes appointments are delayed however this is understandable as 10-15min standard appointment time is often not enough to discuss and diagnose a problem.
