I’d like to thank Tony and Ashley for referring me to a hybrid specialist after my disappointing experience with the main dealership. I’ve finally had my car fixed, and I wouldn’t have been able to do so without them. They’re always exceptionally helpful, honest, and genuine, and I highly recommend them.
Very bad experience. I was sent to *Ashton Mechanical Services* by my warranty provider for a fuel gauge issue. After waiting a week for an appointment, they misdiagnosed the problem, saying it was just a blown fuse. They replaced the fuse and charged me £100 (£10 for the fuse and £90 for labour). But the fuel gauge was still not working — the actual issue wasn't fixed at all. When I pointed this out, they refused to discuss it and just told me to pay or take the car back. Complete waste of time and money. Not professional, and no accountability for misdiagnosis. I wouldn't recommend this garage based on my experience.
Went to another mechanic and my van passed the MoT and a day later buinch of sensor lights came on. Took it back and they told me "defnitely needs new sensors, not sure if it might be more, wont know until we get in there, might need a new exhaust" etc etc. With so much uncertainty, i took it away and asked a mate for a reccommendation. He sent me to Tony at Ashton Mechanical Services. Absolute legend! Got in there, super honest and transparent. Couple of hours labour and he'd sorted the whole thing, didn't need new sensors or exhaught or any of the stuff the other place has said. Will 100% be going here from now on. So good to finally know a mechanic i can trust.
Can't fault my experience with Ashton Mechanical Services. Really quick turn around with a repair on my car the first time it went in. Unfortunately, I encountered another unrelated issue not long after and my car was unable to be driven so Ashton were my first choice again. They organised my car to be collected from my home which made the process stress free and simple. The guys were very honest when I explained my car fault, and said they felt my current issue could potentially be a knock-on effect from my previous repair, and collected my car free of charge which was a very kind gesture that most places would never admit to or offer!! Dean collected my car on time at the earliest convenience, he was really friendly and efficient. They are genuine, trustworthy and reliable mechanics.
I have used them for the last few years whenever I have an issue with my car, my yearly service and MOT’s. Always reliable, well priced and helpful. 10/10 service every time!

My car needed an MOT. I rang Ashton and spoke to Ashley on Wednesday and booked my car in for Friday. He picked it up at 8.30 and it was delivered back to me with an MOT by 12.30. Amazing service. I will definitely be using them again. Well done and 5 star service.
