   Let me say that I have been going here since the first day they opened and have my hair cut normally by jess the owner however all the guys he brings through are excellent and the atmosphere of the place is spot on.

   Let’s start with the good. I got a head trim and beard trim for £19. I think that’s good value, so in principle a good start. Sadly the treatment I got was below par. I’ve grown out my hair from wet shave so it was uneven and ragged. I asked for the works: beard, eyebrows, cheeks, head and neck. No problem. On finishing the head I was asked if I liked it but it was planely unfinished. The guy hadn’t touched the crown nor really done much with my limited scalp coverage but it was uneven. That was fixed. Then onto my beard trim. It’s fairly thick and unruly so in need of attention. Cheeks fine, but under the neck he left what I specified I didn’t want, didn’t even cut the sides of the beard and asked if I was happy. Back for another go on what I’d originally asked for. On inspection that day at home I still had 1” beard hairs. My eyebrows and hairline remain unbothered. Like I said, could be great value but my barber left a lot to be desired. Will try some of the other places before I’m back.

   Billy Goats is the best barbers I've been to hands down. It takes longer than normal to have your hair cut here and that it simply because they take more care and cut with more preciousness. It's probably not the cheapest haircut in town but defiantly the best. Wouldn't dream of going elsewhere.
