   Very bad experience. Escape from that building. I got an appointment there but the staff was not educated, not qualified, without experience and knowledge. I finished on A and E with heavy bleeding from vagina. But they assured me that I had just started the period. They use students or people without experience. If NHS wants to use students or SB without completed training they must ask the patient about permission!! They do not ask me about my permission. They have to ask. Read NHS constitution. I got tears in vagina. I was waiting for help for 27 hours. The ambulance Service refused to send an ambulance. In AandE in Midland Metropolitan Hospital nobody cared or wanted to help. So I escaped from there to the City Hospital. Up today trauma, pain etc. No one wants experience like this. The Sexual Health Clinic is a horrible place in Lyng. Escape!!! They do not have basic knowledge in medicine. Pelvis very often bleed heavily and it always requires quick help. They sent me on the street with the heavy bleeding and with confusion in the head. Not responsible people. Now the NHS is trying to put everything under the carpet. They sent me to the Ombudsman because then they will be able to put not correct data so nobody will find the truth.

   Went for a blood test, I didn't have to wait long and the nurse who saw me was very pleasant. However, as another user has already commented, the signposting within the building could be better - it's not easy to find the Phlebotomy department if you haven't been there before.

   I went to the Lyng this morning 7th November 2025 for a 7.40 appointment for a blood test. Due to a mix up by my GP the form for this had not been sent, therefore they were unable to take my blood. The way Iwas spoken to by one of the phlebotomists was totally uncalled for. She was abrupt, terse, condescending and patronising towards me. A polite simple explanation would have been sufficient, this person needs a lesson in manners and patient/client care.

   If I could give a negative stars I would, 14 days I was trying to call to make an appointment with the lyng! And the phones just kept saying there is no customer service help! I emailed and got a response after 3 weeks! I had to go else where to seek advise! Wouldn't recommend at all, I was trying to make an appointment for the sexual health clinic to get an appointment for the implant. I had to go to Yardley green medical! Useless service useless!

   They see you quickly for blood tests but its speed over quality and friendly manners. Just a bit too cold to match the weather (at time of writing)

   Receptionists always have an attitude especially in the family planing department, don't want to feel judged the moment they awnser the phone, I have opted twice now to remove my contraception at home then go here. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

   Excellent service with friendly staff but there is one point that I’d like to mention. Many people wait outside the door for taxi’s or lifts from family or friends. Why can’t you put a bench or two for people waiting, many of whom are older or have medical issues which make standing an uncomfortable experience. Benches would be a much welcomed addition.

   Been a patient here for around 12 years. The nurses are brilliant, the GPs aren't the best in terms of empathy. Some receptionists are nice, some are rude. All balances out I guess. Convenient that it has lots of departments in one place. Parking is free for an hour and a half.
