I chose Jordans Solicitors to handle my house purchase based on a recommendation from my brother, even though they were more expensive than other options. Unfortunately, the service I received was extremely disappointing. Their whole process feels very outdated. You’re required to physically drop documents off at Kiveton, which are then sent on to Doncaster — a slow and inefficient way of working in 2025. I was allocated Shanice, who only makes call-backs after 3pm. You can’t call her directly, and some days I wouldn’t receive a call back at all. Communication during a house purchase is crucial, and this caused a lot of stress. I also missed an email requesting further information about my funds. Instead of helping me resolve the issue, Shanice told me it was my fault and that I would have to wait, which felt unhelpful and dismissive at an already stressful time. This was the typical tone of a lot of emails - very unprofessional. Another example the survey I had done on the house Shanice asked me to send to her as I wasn't sure what to do with it - she sat on it for over a week and said what do you want to do with the survey? When questioned I just got a sarcastic response back saying it's your survey I don't get involved. Now that we’re at the completion stage, they’ve asked for more money — additional charges I was never made aware of. When I called to complain, I was told they don’t take phone calls. Shanice then emailed me to say she had spoken to the point of escalation, Rosemarie, and that I had to pay the extra money or the purchase would fall through. Being put under that kind of pressure so late in the process is unacceptable. Overall, for the amount of money they charge, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I would definitely not recommend Jordans Solicitors.

Very slow and unresponsive to my mums last will and testament despite a letter from them on 7th August ( mums house was completed in June and after being pushed, we still haven’t got any settlement on 7th September. Mum sadly passed away in April 2024 and the lack of care has been atrocious

We have just had to use Jordan’s as this is who my parents had picked to do there wills… Probate JW can not fault delt with everything with compassion and kept us updated on everything.. Then there was the sale of the property what a joke this was we had to chase all the time to be told I will chase the buyers solicitor this was a regular occurrence when we asked any questions we never got the correct answer so we are taking this to the legal ombudsman because Jordan’s are definitely not worth what they charge

I've used you guys 5 times in the past and this time you let myself and my wife down when using you to sell both our houses and deal with the one we was buying. May 24 to feb 25. Costs out of control. Not kept informed. Solicitor we first used called charis just did reply and in sept a buyer from my property pulled out because of no replies. Then we found out she'd left and a chap called paul took over. He tried his best but the damage had been done. £12700 bill and not one apology along the way.

Great experience working with Paul Newbert at Jordans LLP who took care of our house purchase conveyancing. Paul was extremely responsive throughout the whole process and was great to work with

Only went in for a Stat Dec so can't comment on the Legal Advice. But they were quick and the guy who witnessed took the time to read the contract first.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - this company and its people are by far one of the most incompetent I have ever come across. It is near on impossible to get any type of response out of them, they never call back when they say they will, and when you do finally manage to speak to someone, you have the pleasure of finding out they have done absolutely nothing. This firm nearly cost us a house purchase and if it wasn't for me spending days on end chasing people they were being paid to chase I have no doubt it would have done. If this review saves on other person the sleepless nights, unanswered emails, unreturned calls and days on end of stress and worry I can rest easy. Please pick another solicitors

If I could give no stars I would, but had to, to write the review! This is a funny one, 13 months for ADVICE on a appeal, still no answer or communication between them and myself. We are currently in may and the last contact that was made via letter was Oct/nov 2020, I have previously had a video link, where the solicitor was questioning me on what was in the videos, which was used in the case? She also hadn’t seen the videos, considering it is her duty to ensure she knows she has seen all the relevant information, and this was! 7 months after I first signed legal aid in April 2020 and it was accepted. It really does make me wonder what have you been doing, and not even having any contact with me, 6/7 months and still working on the case, of a appeal? Which you haven’t even seen the videos is that normal practice, of the firm. I had a video link with Chloe Bennett, which she told me I will have a decision and a answer in the beginning of the new year, as it was the Christmas period coming up, to which I understood. So then when my mother contacts in may, via phone call, they mention that the originally solicitor working on the case has left, 4 weeks prior, and Iv had a new solicitor Allocated, but I wasn’t aware of this, met them or even had a letter stating this, and a introduction (very professional) what a joke! No update from November on this case, or any letter. Nothing! I call the receptionist to see if I can make contact with my solicitor or the new allocation one. She was mentioning to me the days I can’t call her, couldn’t even have the decency to even email her for a gentle reminder that I am want contact with themselves, so being brushed off, as I can’t disturb my so called solictor as she has meeting and annual leave. Iv been waiting 7/8 month, that surely has given you time to have your meeting and squeeze a call or letter. I asked the Receptionist for advice on how long it takes, baring in mind she is the face of the company, she couldn’t give me anything, just brushing me off, she is not in charge of a car park, she is the face of a so called reputable solicitors. This makes me believe she was lying on every word intentionally that was being said to me, thank you very much for that reassurance. This has annoyed me she then mentioned that we are in the middle of a pandemic, but like I am not aware of this, they are able to make non face to face contact, via a letter or video link like before. This is also why I never bothered, calling an needing the answers I would like to know, or some reassurance. But now this is really mocking me and my intentions of getting my appeal. I am fully aware that you work from home, no commuting to and from work, or having to travel for lunch. On the advice on the website, it states appeals can take 8-12 weeks, how on earth has it took 13 months, to which after 12 months they switched solicitor, and fail to mention this to me. This all seems to be a bodge, all for advice on a appeal? I am now not confident that I will get the decision I would like to be receiving or any at all in matter of fact, in the next 12/13 months all over again. Time is precious. Quality doesn’t seem it to me, more like a cheap souvenir from the lucky lucky man. I really wonder is it time for me to get a new solicitor, before Iv actually finished my whole sentence.just waiting on any communication from yourselves is disgusting. This is disgusting behaviour, especially from a company like yourselves. Iv wrote the review to the Hope I don’t keep getting fobbed of, all I want is some clear accurate answer, and make me aware of what is actually taking place!
