I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know about my experience here. I brought my car in for an MOT test. The car had a small crack on the left side of the windscreen, clearly not in the driver’s view. The technician told me they would have to fail the MOT because of it, which is understandable since every garage has its own standards. But then, the same person told me he could “help me out” and pass the MOT if I paid him an extra £80. He even said it would be cheaper than replacing the windscreen. I was honestly shocked. That’s not “helping out,” that’s bribery. Completely unethical and disappointing. I left immediately and took my car elsewhere. Avoid this place at all costs..
Awful service on two different occasions. How they are still running with the amount of people they mug off I have no idea. A few months back I had a awful experience (never left a review as I don’t normally leave bad reviews, I just go somewhere else, but they have now recently behaved unprofessionally with my mum too) I had to have a new radiator and fan put in. Took them 3 days to sort it out even though they said it would take 1 day. Finally pick my car up, drive for about 20 minutes and then break down. I was out from 5pm till 2am waiting for AA and then a tow truck which completely ruined my evening. AA told me my car wasn’t put together correctly, things were loose which caused all my gearbox oil to leak out hence breaking down. Next morning I ask Ken’s Autos to cover the cost as it was their fault and they said yes and they also compensated me a free MOT for the inconvenience. 2 months later for my MOT they refuse to do it for free saying “we spent too much money fixing your car out of our own pocket so you have to pay £50 for your MOT. I was so angry but I paid it and they then failed me and made me pay again!!!! Yesterday my mum had her MOT and they failed her for front brake pads. She had them replaced a couple months ago so she knows they didn’t need doing. They told my mum she had to pay to have them replaced and she knew she didn’t need that so she got my dad to speak to them and when he went down they said “oh actually it was a mistake”. This place is a joke. They take advantage of women especially and they are completely unprofessional. They lie about services your car needs just to take your money.
More than happy to keep taking my cars there, as i feel they are honest mechanics and good at their job. Also providing a good customer service and its never too long before i have my vehicle back. I highly recommend them.

Had a service today further to an MOT in November last year. Can't fault the service or the price. Easy to get a appointment. No frills or fuss. Drive it up, get a time to collect, get a price, go pick it up. Very good.
Nice local garage. They really care about providing a solution. One thing I like in particular is they never say its not my job. Always keen to provide feedback and diagnostic reports and explain it to customers in plain english.
