   Disappointing recent experience with really poor communication. We phoned the shop to say we would be 5 minutes late and they told us it was okay, their policy is that if it’s 10 minutes over they can’t see us so we said of course that’s fine. We arrived 7 minutes late. We were told they couldn’t see us and the man was denying the conversation we had on the phone and was just really standoffish and unreasonable. If it had just been communicated at the point where I called, that they couldn’t see us regardless, then we would have understood and not come. But to tell us it’s OK and then deny us once we got there was just unnecessary and disappointing. Will not be returning.

   My son & partner use Jon's. Hoole is full of hairdressers and barbers, but Jon's is the best. Reasonably priced, knows each of his customers well, and actually has genuine conversations with them.

   I arrived without an appointment but was met with a courteous greeting from Jon who let me know the time that he could fit me in - an hour later, after finishing a night shift I did spend the hour waiting in the shop and whilst I was waiting I watched both Jon and his colleague deal with customers and a constantly ringing phone in a professional and prompt manner - then it came to my hair cut, having not been to a barbers for a long time I told Jon what I was aiming for - and he delivered, the cut was done with excellent banter and humour and the result shows the level of experience that he has in the business - very pleased with the result and will be making sure to book an appointment next time as this will now become my barbers of choice. £9 isn't enough for what you get - I would have happily paid £20 for the cut and the service.
