Scam of a barber shop. We tried to use The Men’s Room for my young cousins charity hair cut in which he was to donate his hair to Little Princess Trust. Booked weeks in advance and paying the full price of £23 upfront, I can only assume to stop people asking for their money back after getting their hair cut by them, we didn’t even make it as far as the haircut. He had booked a 45 minute appointment with Ian. Walking into the village with his Aunt (my mother), who being a local childminder had a double buggy to push and also a toddler walking along side, it took a little longer than anticipated and they arrived 10 minutes after the appointment time. Ian refused to do the haircut and refused any sort of refund stating he had “another appointment in 10 minutes”…10 minutes into a 45 minute appointment, so you were either double booked or you’re a liar. The remaining 35 minutes could have been plenty to do the haircut and surely use some empathy and have a bit of leeway for a young lad who just wanted his hair cut to donate, you’re a hairdresser not a heart surgeon. After being refused the cut and any refund they ended up walking to “Rainford Barbers” around the corner who did the cut on a walk-in for just £12, if you want a decent haircut for a decent price go there. To be honest just totally disappointed to hear this is how The Men’s Room treat their customers, hearing the story from my mum I didn’t think this was on at all, young lad scammed out of £23 and worst of all a haircut that meant he could donate his hair to charity. Pathetic The men’s Room, should be ashamed of yourselves.

Myself and my son have been coming here for years. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff and their attention to detail. They were brilliant with my son who obviously found his first cut very new and daunting but within 5 minutes their experience with these situations was clear to see. He now loves coming here and we wouldn't take him anywhere else. I would give 10 starts if I could.
Went in for the first time and Ian did a 10/10 job on my hair, he was chatty and very welcoming and even got offered a drink. It was exactly what I wanted and this is my first barber after switching from my hairdresser and he got everything just right. I would recommend this barber to anyone as it is just so good and see myself coming here for every cut from now on.
