Took car here with a clutch issue. Was told the car would need the gear box redone at a cost of 450 quid plus labour and VAT!! When I asked if this would fix my clutch issue I was told this wasn't guaranteed and to fix both the clutch aswell would be a total of 1500 plus VAT. There is no problem with either my clutch or gearbox! Took my car to a reputable garage and it turns out I only needed clutch fluid!! AVOID THIS GARAGE AND DO NOT GET YOURSELF SCAMMED**** Think this place is under new ownership and this guy either has no clue about cars or is just an utter scam artist!!. AVOID**** Will be informing trading standards and BBC Roque Traders!
I have used these guys to service my two work vans and the wife's car for a few years and its very hard to find an honest garage these days and I trust their ethos and way of doing things. Very pleased and will use for many years to come

They were patient from the offset, from directions to find them through to information regarding my car and how to look after it. Integrity always stands out to me and Motech is built on it! Phenomenal Service. Well above and Beyond what anyone might expect. The wonderful owner stayed open to MOT my Honda Motorbike after I informed him I would be half an hour late. I turned up a few minutes after closing time !! Great help also from the lads that work here. If they make this effort over a small insignificant MOT I would have no hesitation to bring my car or bike here for any repairs or surgery in the future.

Tony and his team are the most honest and trustworthy garage I have ever come across (and I’ve been through a few!). There aren’t many garages who combine this with great customer service and leave me smiling. They will NEVER charge you for something they don’t need to and have often made small adjustments free of charge. I don’t live in the area anymore but I make the 40 minute round trip because I rate them so highly. Thank you, I really appreciate you.
Had full service and MOT done. Once it was finished I went to get the car and the service light was still coming up. Took it back then they found an issue with the thermometer, was quoted £97 to get that done and was told it would be done and to come back the next day. Waited all day only to find out it was closed. Finally heard on the Monday that it was done and was told I had to pay £230. Also brakes made a noise, particularly when reversing which they are still doing. Not impressed at all.
I have used these guys for a few years now with no problem up until a few weeks back. I broke down and had the AA pick me up, they suspected it was the alternator, I took it to Motech and they said the alternator was fine and that it was the battery, paid £225 for a new battery, couple of weeks later I got the same alert come up so took it back to the garage. Was told i needed an auto electrician to do diagnostics, did that and was told it was the alternator after all and he told me I wouldn't have needed a new battery as the car was starting with no problem. I phoned to try and get my money back but was told that i still needed a new battery. I asked for a copy of the test they had done but was told they wouldn't have a copy of it now... so, £225 for a battery I probably didnt need, moral of the story, get a printout of any works you get done there
