Chips not cooked fresh they rewarm them to save on money i complained I got bared from the shop unreliable service not recommended poor food quality
Had several takeaways from here and it's always been absolutely outstanding. Food is always hot, fresh and in perfect condition. The delivery driver is always pleasant and punctual. Prices are competitive. We generally go for the standard fish and chips or kebab meat and chips and both options are really good. The fish is flaky and soft with a delicate and tasty batter. The chips are really tasty. All portions are generous.
We tried this for the first time for lunch today at work. I ordered half rice, half chips and English Curry, a buttered barm and a large sausage. We also requested extra salt and vinegar. I mention this because the general consensus for all the food was how bland it was, even the curry was just underwhelming. The large sausage was actually quite hard to bite too, like it was overdone or something. The barm was a bit thirsty for more butter too (see pic). Wanted to love it, but it was a bit of a let down. Chips were alright.
Unless you want to remortgage your house for a Soggy Fish then avoid this place at all costs. Extortionate prices for mediocre food. The picture is after only 2 bites and it was almost £20 for 2.
Very very below the standard expected and what I'm used to. Very tasteless, very greasy, was as if it was rushed and no care taken when making the food will definitely never order from here again! You live and learn.
The food was cold when it got here and they forgot my drink, asked them too bring it because I’m ill and it was the only drink I could stomach and they said they would. Still didn’t bring it. Not paying for something that I didn’t receive , wouldn’t of minded as the first time was a mistake the 2nd time is just taking the mick
Just had my order delivered,, amazing food fish (cod) was massive nice crispy batter !! If you want a chippy supper this is the best I’ve tasted for a while + a very nice delivery lady
Used to be a great chippy. Last 2 times I've been the scallop was uncooked, took one bite into raw potato. Tonight I gave another chance and got 2 microwaved meat and potato pies plus a large dry old chips, family very disappointed, had to deal with hungry mouths and unhappy kids/wife. Won't go back. Plus I mentioned the uncooked scallop and got a generic apology. Different chippy for us now.
