I booked a cab two days in advance for New Year’s Eve, 10 minutes after it was supposed to arrive I still had no update on it, I was then told there were no drivers around until 2 hours after my booking. I am a young girl who was left on her own in south London at 1am, so safe to say I will not be using this company again. I had a similar issue a few years ago where I ended up waiting for 40 minutes on my own at a similar time of night because of a late driver. I understand it is a busy time of year, but I would have preferred to have been told there were no taxis available.

Cannon cars in my experience have never let us down. Had a nearly four hour delay last night and cannon cars and their driver kept in contact with us tracking our flight and so pleased to have the driver waiting for us to whisk us home as we arrived through arrivals…..priceless! Thank you!!

Do not use Cannon Cars, the management and office do not care about their customers at all! I booked at taxi, to pick me up at 0150 on Saturday 6th December from Gatwick Airport. I checked the app when getting off the plane and it said no driver had been assigned, I naively assumed that this was a mistake and there would be someone waiting in arrivals. After a long and difficult flight, you would expect your driver to be waiting, but there was no one there when we came through to arrivals. I checked the app again whilst we were waiting in arrivals (it was 0150, the time of pick-up) and only then did it say a driver had been assigned and they were currently 1 HOUR AWAY!! I rang the office to query, to which they said “Oh, it shouldn’t be that long, maybe 30 MINUTES!”. If you book a cab for particular time, for the driver to have not even been assigned at the time of pick up is not acceptable! I got told to ring back during the week to speak to management about compensation and a complaint. I did this, I rang back at 11am on Wednesday 10th, someone in the office took my name, number and message and I was told it would be passed to management who would ring me back later that day. Well, it is now 4 days later and still no-one has bothered to ring me. It is quite clear that the management and office staff do not care about their customers or the service they provide. It is a shame, I have used Cannon Cars for over 15 years and the drivers have always been professional and polite. However, over the last year or 2 there has been nothing but problems and delays with pick-ups, all down to management and office staff assigning drivers too late and not caring about the ordinary customer. Unfortunately, I will now no longer use Cannon Cars and will find a reliable, professional and trustworthy cab firm instead.

My go-to cab company for years, a company I have recommended to others. In October I telephoned to chase up a cab that had been booked. He will be 10 minutes. I appreciate that issues arise, things go wrong. We just about made our train (for which we had left ample time). Then it happened again in November, 10 to 15 minutes. We arrived in good time for the train purely because the traffic was light and the all the traffic lights favoured the driver. Both were trips to hospital appointments. Cannot be doing with that stress again.
