Such a horrible experience First and last time to this place. I went for the MOT . I kept the car whole day and in the evening they said this this things has to be changed to pass the MOT and came up with ... Amount of money . And told me whether I would like to go or take the car back. I agreed with that amount and gave permission to go. And very next day they call me again and told me I have to pay extra Β£.. amount of money to pass the MOT. So, please be careful before going to this place. Since they have the authority to revoke your MOT. They put me in such a situation neither I can refuse to pay money nor ask them to cancel it and take it somewhere else .

Booked my car in for an MOT and new rear pads and then received an email regarding a special offer for a combined platinum service . No price was advertised so I had to call . I was quoted Β£330 which included a MOT for 99p , to which I agreed . They had the car and phoned me during the day and told me I needed new discs as well . When I asked the price I was told all in for Β£495 , I was pleasantly surprised and told them to go ahead . When I collected the car I checked the paperwork and there was no mention of the service , it hadnβt been done . I had been charged Β£40 for the MOT and the remainder was on the brakes . I was told βdid you expect discs ,pads and a service on a Jag for that ? Well , yes I did as that is what was quoted β all in β was his words when he called . At this point I was offered a service for a reduced price of Β£300 , but I had already payed Β£40 for the MOT so they were trying to charge more than their βspecial offerβ I questioned this and another Β£5 was deducted , but as this was still more , only Β£5 I know but itβs the principle I walked away . I have used Claremont at Welling and Staplehurst over the last 5 years and wonβt be going back .

Used Claremont after shopping round welling for a good garage managed to find this one to be great, reception area clean and welcoming compared to other local business in the area. Priced me fairly work carried out in good time kept me informed along every step of the repair. This was a very complex repair that my usual garage could not fix was recommended by someone else that this is the place to go if you need something fixed and diagnosed once. I have been using Claremont Gage in Welling since they first opened, they have serviced all my and my family cars, always polite friendly and honest, last week my wife's car was due for its yearly service and MOT, normally I take it in and walk to the station to go to work then collect on the way home, this time due to work issues I was not able to, my wife called them up, she has never been in or spoken to them before, explained the situation that we would need to rebook, they offered to come and collect the car and bring it back, now that's customer service, 5 starts to the Welling team, thank you

Quoted us Β£250 more than needed on a M.O.T. Said things were mechanically broke that wasn't. Even said if I pull the car out for a second opinion I'd be driving with no MOT which wasn't the case at all as I still had a few weeks left on the current mot and when checking on DVLA website I definitely still had a valid MOT. Be careful Claremont customers if your unsure get a 2nd opinion it saved me Β£250.. the guy was quite polite on the phone regarding the complaint but accepted no liability and said" every mechanics is different and have different standards, and ours are probably higher than theirs". I think that's a cheap dig at a decent reliable local garage for being honest with their customer and without them realising exposing the truth about your 'standards of practice'. Which brings me here...

I have been a loyal customer to this company for a long time and I have actually never done a review before. I have a nissan xtrail and had a problem with my engine management light. I took it to Claremonts at Welling expecting a good service, but what I received was disgraceful. I thought it would be a dpf problem which I have had before as its diesel and was hoping it would be a simple regen costing Β£75. Car went in and they said the dpf needs to come out and be chemically cleaned which I agreed to costing Β£1400. Not a cheap fix. The receptionist said its all working correctly and no issues. I was without my car for a week while repairs were done. I picked my car up and firstly noticed how compartments and plastic trim had been removed and not put back. But did that myself just grateful to get my car back and sorted. When I came home I noticed the front of my bonnet did not look like it was closed properly further investigation opening the bonnet i could see the trim on the n/s wing was loose and actually my n/s wing had been squashed down by about 5mm causing the bonnet and wing to mis align looking un sightly also there was a few bolts which had not been tightend in the engine bay only finger tight. I phoned them about my issues and bodywork damage which I would of noticed if the car had not been parked tightly facing the fence and parked cars next to it. They told me to bring it back for them to sort it being very apologetic. How they could return my car to me like that after I've owned it from 8 months old is beyond me. After this nightmare I was just happy to have my car back About five days after I had eng management light back on. I refused to take it back to Clarmonts after what happend. I Had to wait 3 weeks for nissan eltham to look at it. They sent me a video of the brackets underneath which were loose. Dpf is knackerd and is going to cost me another Β£3040 for new one on top. So spent nearly Β£4500 not happy. Myself and family won't be using again.
