High functioning anxiety (so I think) with intrusive thoughts. Was under their care before I was suddenly discharged to my GP. Was told I needed to "learn how to take care of myself" (I'm under 18 by the way) and was not given any advice about what they think I may have or how to manage. Staff were rude and even told me to "stop stressing the poor old woman" (my nan who lives with me and takes care of me). I'm now working with a counselor who can only see me once a week and I've had to teach myself techniques over the past month of being with them on how to try and stop them. I think I may have OCD but this has come from all of my OWN research. I was failed to be updated until I pressed and everyone seemed to be passing it on to others. They failed to update me on two meetings and the decision to discharge me. This includes my family too.

It is hard to get them to even see your child. Always passing of to some other team. When your child does get to see them then they do help my child got her adhd conformed here. Yes it still took 2-3 years but then was put on medication. That has really helped in class. For mental health having some listening helps. However 1 side doesn't fit all. Just glad they are trying somethink new music as my child won't talk or hardly anythink to other people.

My daughter was diagnosed adhd by cahms birmingham moved to sandwell. Sandwell cahms want to start the whole process again because they don't want to take the diagnosis from birmingham as they want to see if she meets the criteria as they don't trust birmingham. No wonder mental health is a problem in this country when you can't get the help you need. 5 years waiting only to be fobbed off.

Absolutely abysmal. 2 referrals ignored, 3rd referral offered a parenting course. Our child is profoundly autistic, Getting 2/3 hours of sleep a night. Waited 3 years to be fobbed off. Interestingly enough, I have another profoundly autistic child that Iβve never asked for input with, but of course Iβll benefit from a parenting course. They really donβt have the slightest comprehension of the difficulties raising children with disabilities. Really hoped the learning disabilities team would be helpful but unfortunately not. Canβt.Actually.Help.Mate.Sorry Please donβt be under the illusion these charlatans can help, I wouldnβt be leaving one star if zero was an option.

The doctor referred my daughter nearly 4 years ago for her Aspergers. I had a phone call saying they can help with my situation after its 4 years too late and done everything off my own back. I need a medal to get where i am now with my daughter after all the stress you go through. They do nothing to help and after first appointment they discharged her as i have worked hard and done it all off my own back. That place is a shambles and needs closing down. They are a let down to children with a disability its a disgrace. Would give them no stars as they are not even worth one.

Left here in 2012 Iβm now nearly 29. I thought they were amazing they gave me the right medication and everything for my anxiety. I wouldnβt be where I am today if I wasnβt on medication for my anxiety.

There should be an option for 0 stars because this place is a disgrace and are failing children all the time. I have fighted to get my son help and a diagnosis since 3 years old he is now 8 years old and his behaviour is now out of control.. last year they shut the case down due to school reports not showing enough evidence. Since then there has been 2 emergency referrals from the Dr's and social services intervention due to how dangerous his behaviour is.. inclusion support.. place to be .. early help.. autism West midlands and a case worker involved.. today we went to an assessment the woman was horrible rude and cold.. she told me if my son don't stop being hyperactive she will have to terminate the meeting!!!! THATS THE WHOLE REASON WE ARE THERE... for help!! He displayed alot of issues in the assessment.. I think it's wrong I have to explain everything and run my child down infront of him that's not right!! Then tried to shut the case down!!! I'm so angry and sick of the system.. there is every trait of both autism and adhd but they don't care and just want to get rid of us.. The place needs shutting down they are failing all the children!!!!

The help you can get is a pat on the back and saying you are ok , which is as much as the lady at asda can do . Every year my child is worse off than we ended up there . It is better to avoid them

If I could give 0 stars I would! I have had a really bad few years within mental health and have found it extremely difficult to live with this. The outcome Iβve had within going to cahms is not helpful at all. Both me and my parents have been laughed at by a certain doctor and felt really judged. Have been going here for 5 years and still havenβt got an answer to my struggles. Only been told to have a bath/ not supportive over teen mental health at all and will have to wait until Iβm 18 to see the crisis team until I get the support and help I and my family deserve. Do not recommend
