Saved my imported forester STI. Had an undiagnosable issue for years, brought it here and it was diagnosed and repaired in a couple of days. Magician.
Booked my Subaru in for diagnostics due to a boost performance issue and also asked to fit a new boost solenoid and windband kit. Couldn't find the fault with the boost issue although when taken to a different garage found the issue immediately due to a blocked exhaust baffel. New boost solenoid was fitted poorly with bodged connections held in place with only electrical Tape. Ended up rectifying this myself by soldering it properly and adding heat shrink. Also left some connections unconnected when I came to collect leading to the car not running right. The windband was the only item installed correctly. I felt like the job wasn't looked at properly and rushed due to them having other more important jobs to do that where more profitable. Paid full quote price and wouldn't go back in the future. The owner was nice enough but didn't leave feeling like the job was done professionally.

Visited Neil at Slowboy Racing today to sort out a troublesome hesitation with the car. Neil precisely diagnosed the issue (before even seeing the car via discussions over email) and with a remap solved the issue completely. When I arrived Neil spent the time to go over the car, given that I’d only recently purchased it and made me aware of a few small issues, looked into these for me and helped with friendly and clearly knowledgable advice. A pleasure to deal with and I’ll be taking the car to Slowboy Racing for any future works that I need doing without hesitation.

Absolutely outstanding customer service. Went to them to map my Rally Subaru Impreza WRX ahead of an event this weekend and there were issues with the new turbo that had been fitted. Both Neil and his team mate, worked from 12 when the issue was found, until 8 pm that evening without a break. They loaned me a replacement turbo, replaced the turbo and remapped the car again so that i could make the event this weekend. I expected that come 5:30 or 6pm latest that they would have shut the shop and asked me to come back the next day...I was totally taken aback at their dedication to getting it in shape so i could race it. I have used them on 3 seperate occassions over a 15 year period and i would highly recommend them as a business and will without doubt use them again. Straight talkers, professional, clean and tidy workshop. Cannot recommend enough.
Highly recommended! I've been using Slowboy for a few years now for servicing and repairs which have all been great. Neil recently did a Stage 2 tune on my wrx too which went very well. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and reliable with a well earned reputation. Can't recommend him enough!
