BPS Autocare (Triple S MOT Centre) intentionally fails MOTs for minor or fabricated issues in order to upsell repairs and generate more business for themselves. The staff, especially the MOT engineer, ARE rude, unprofessional, and clearly lack basic customer service skills. The atmosphere was unfriendly, disorganised, and unwelcoming.

First review I have left in my life, people need to be warned against getting any work done here- the first time after an mot they had damaged a handbrake after passing an mot- they did not warn me of this issue until my vehicle started rolling down a hill luckily I managed to restart the vehicle before someone was killed. They charged me to repair this although there was no issues prior to the MOT. I thought it may have been a one off mistake so a couple years later returned the vehicle for an oil change. On collection the reversing sensor alarm was continuously on so I had a closer look and had noticed it had been broken and pushed in. Again it wasnβt until I was driving away I had noticed myself rather than them being honest about the incident. I had reversed the vehicle when dropping off and there were no such issues. I explained to the owner and he became very defensive stating they will have a look but will charge. Without any professionalism to check any cctv etc on how the damage was caused. From my gatherings over the 2 visits the owner is running his business hiring incompetent mechanics that continuously change every few weeks and feel no responsibility on the standard of service or safety they provide. This is beyond a financial cost but I warn people against using this service for their own safety. This is from my personal experience and I donβt believe this was a coincidence as both occasions the owner addressed the issue in the same way as this is a standard procedure for the business.

BEAWARE - WARNING I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with BPS Autocare (Triple S MOT Centre) recently, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. I booked an MOT appointment during my lunch break, as I was working from home and had work meetings scheduled later in the day. I made it very clear when booking the appointment that time was crucial for me and I needed the MOT done promptly. I arrived 10 minutes early to be courteous and allow time for any prep, expecting a quick turnaround. Unfortunately, after waiting 20 minutes without any progress or communication, I had to approach the staff to remind them that I had meetings and couldnβt afford further delays. Eventually, a very grumpy mechanic (who appeared extremely disinterested and unprofessional from the outset) began the MOT on my car. While I sat in the waiting area, another customer walked in. There was no one at the front desk to assist them, so we got chatting while we waited. This gentleman asked me if I knew where the toilet was, and since no staff member was around, I stepped out of the waiting area briefly to point him in the right direction. To my surprise, the MOT mechanic snapped at me for leaving the waiting area, behaving as though I had broken some major rule. I explained politely that I was only helping another customer find the toilet. Despite this, he continued to behave rudely and kept blabbering on with a bad attitude. In fact, the other customer was so put off by the MOT engineerβs behaviour that he decided to leave and get his MOT done elsewhere. I returned to the waiting area and continued sitting there, simply resting because I had been at my desk all morning. The same MOT mechanic again came over and rudely told me to "sit down" (which I already was) and continued to moan for no valid reason. When the MOT was finally completed, the car failed due to a βminor cutβ on the rear offside tyre. I was then conveniently offered a tyre replacement service on the spot, which raised suspicions. I refused the offer immediately, and they told me I had only 10 days to come back for a free retest. I found this very surprising, as: The tyre in question is only 4 months old and has barely done 500 miles β the car is used only for short school runs by my partner. I was surprised about the 10-day retest window, which seemed unusually short and designed to pressure customers into accepting unnecessary repairs. To double-check, I took the car to another trusted MOT centre. Their technician confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with the tyre and that it should have passed the MOT without any issues. At worst, it might have been mentioned as an advisory β but even that was a stretch. This entire experience has left me convinced that BPS Autocare (Triple S MOT Centre) intentionally fails MOTs for minor or fabricated issues in order to upsell repairs and generate more business for themselves. The staff, especially the MOT engineer, were rude, unprofessional, and clearly lacking basic customer service skills. The atmosphere was unfriendly, disorganised, and unwelcoming. I will never return to this garage, and I strongly advise others to avoid it too. Get your MOTs done at a place that values honesty, professionalism, and respectful treatment of customers.

Booked my car in for a service a week ago and I was happy with the work they had done on my car. My ABS went out the day I was taking it in and they managed to sort it out for me. It cost a bit but Iβm sure they know what theyβre doing and want to make sure that your car is safe to drive on the roads. I will most certainly be coming back if there are any problems to the car but at the time of writing this review, we are good.

This was my first time at this garage, so everything I say is fresh and unbiased. One of the main things the mechanics here are good at is identifying problems and providing solutions. I came in for a wheel alignment but was told I didn't tighten up my inner TRE enough so it came loose on the driver side. They were willing to fix it up but my main gripe was with the price as I had to pay for an hours labour (Β£35) (which to me seems a bit excessive) and this was just for the mechanic to tighten the inner TRE on both sides. The outcome of their work was somewhat disappointing as not only was the gaitor not tightened down on the steering rack properly - I say this as the gaitor was half on and half slipping off when I decided to double check at home - but they didn't even make sure to tie up both sides of the boot with cable ties. Furthermore the original service I requested, the wheel alignment (Β£35), came out good on the paper but was a different story behind the steering wheel as the car still drifted left and right on a straight road. I had to come in a 2nd time and convince the receptionist that I needed my car back on the alignment machine and have some micro adjustments done, they conceded and did it again and although it isn't perfect as the car still drifts to the left on a straight road I am much more pleased with the outcome. Ultimately, the main advantages of this business is that they know how to find problems and tighten parts/bolts. The disadvantages are it's a business where price doesn't equate to quality.
