   Absolutely unacceptable ABS pump repair Sent my ABS pump to Essex Recons for repair and it came back worse than when it left. During their “repair” they wiped the EEPROM / coding data, making the unit unusable. The pump lost its original vehicle data and now requires specialist recoding that was never an issue before. This was not discussed, not authorised, and not warned about beforehand. Any company claiming to repair ABS modules should know that EEPROM data is critical and wiping it shows either lack of competence or extremely poor process control. Result: • ABS pump returned with missing/corrupted data • Extra costs and time wasted • Vehicle left off the road • Zero responsibility taken for the damage caused I trusted them with a sensitive electronic module and that trust was completely misplaced. If you value your ABS unit and don’t want extra headaches or costs, think very carefully before using this company.

   I cannot recommend this company enough its customer service is outstanding and how honest and genuine they are is such a refreshing change. My car battery was saying it was losing power yet the power voltage was charging up on long journeys. The car was starting fine even after being sat for 2 weeks. My husband spoke to Billy who went above and beyond to check the battery and get it sent back to us in an amazing time scale. He proved that the battery was fine and I’m so grateful for his expertise and fast priority in doing this for us. You’re doing an amazing job and very grateful for your help and being so good at what you do.

Posted to Essex Recons who repaired the unit and posted it back next day. Fantastic service will definitely recommend and use them for any of our electrical issues in the future.

   Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. If you have any electrical issues especially with the dashboard/cluster instrument going to limp mode and struggling to start please call them. I phoned up Monday morning and they fitted me in within 2 hours and fixed it as well. All my problems went away and today my car passed its MOT. Lady on the phone was very polite helpful and understood the issues I experienced and will definitely use them again.
