   Can’t believe it took us so long to visit this diamond of a restaurant. The menu may be smaller but the flavours are mighty with enough selection to please every palate. We started with Prawn Skagen and the specials Cauli Filo rolls which were both very tasty, I could’ve just eaten a plate of the Cauli rolls! We then had the specials feta & strawberry salad and the spring cabbage leaves. The salad was so light and fresh with delicious strawberries, green beans and feta, very summery. The cabbage leaves filled with quinoa, peas, miso garlic mushrooms on a broad bean mash with maple and soy was just superb. We shared every course and took a rhubarb streusel home for our daughter as it was GF. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Macclesfield. Thank you Jo for a wonderful meal, we will be back!

   I ordered a haddock dish which was great, with a side of fries. I can't comment if it was a fully Scandinavian style (I've not visited Scandinavia enough to comment) but it was still very flavourful and what I was in the mood for! Thought I would still be hungry when the dish arrived but actually it was just right. Note the menu is quite limited if you are vegetarian or pescatarian like me. My only criticism would be that the restaurant felt a bit cold (in temperature). We came as a group of 3 on a quiet evening.

   Excellent lunch today, we shared a pickling plate of seven items together with a prawn skagen which were both beautifully presented freshly prepared and tasty. The service was relaxed and we felt very comfortable in the cafe environment. It was clear that the staff are covid aware and its reassuring to see. Would go back without hesitation when we are in the area again.
