James Twiddy breached professional boundaries with me when I was his client at another clinic. I subsequently raised a formal complaint with the BACP regarding his conduct. The experience left me feeling unsafe, traumatised, and significantly worse off. I believe prospective clients deserve transparency about a therapist’s professional history before engaging in therapy at this centre.

This review refers to the help provided by Leslie Lomax at the Wellbeing Centre by phone and email to arrange a Zoom meeting with the relevant Psychiatrist at short notice despite the heavy consultancy load. She recognised the urgency of the consultation and solved a serious problem for the patient, and she did so immediately and highly efficiently.

I would like to start by saying that I have nothing but praise for the team at Priory Wellbeing Centre. Following the bereavement of my partner, the help and support I received from every staff member that I came into contact with, was exceptional. Trying to come to terms with that loss was, and still is, the most difficult thing I have ever encountered in my life but the staff there have an incredible depth of understanding of what you are going through and are able to gently guide you to give you the tools to help yourself through what is an unbelievably difficult time. I found it very difficult seeking help in the first instance but I am so glad that I did because the support I received far exceeded my expectations and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Centre and, in fact, have already done so. I would like to give a special mention to Zoe Clark, a staff member who I feel deeply indebted to, as her empathy towards, and understanding of, my situation during my visits was something which I will never forget and will always be so grateful for. For me, attending Priory Wellbeing Centre was a very, very positive experience.

It is not usual for me to write reviews but in this instance I must - Dr Gupta is by far the most engaging and caring psychiatrist I've ever seen and has gone above and beyond in regards to my care. I couldn't recommend him more. The receptionists are also extremely friendly and professional. My life is finally getting back on track and it's thanks to the well being centre.

Life changing..............from start to finish. I was unsure whether counselling was going to help but after 15 remote sessions, at a time suitable to me, I was ready to undertake my positive journey. They remind you that we will be tested and it is how we deal with the tests that matter and the counsellor that I had totally had me prepared. It was sad to leave her but from being closed off in the first session to be totally open and honest in my last session, at 47 who knew I would undertake a very positive, worthwhile and life changing experience. I cannot say thank you enough and if anyone is even thinking about contacting them, then you are ready to start your journey too and I don't think there is any better place to start.

I was assigned Ms Ahmet as a therapist after requesting assistance through AXA Healthcare and have attended approximately 40 sessions with her. The therapy has recently drawn to a close. Initially issues were addressed in the here and now, related to challenges faces with Covid restrictions and workplace issues. I found her manner to be conducive to sharing deeper issues which became apparent though the sessions were in need of attention. Throughout she took at times an unconventional approach to CBT which suited me – we would often have a light hearted moment accompanied with this. I found the flexibility of approach to be conducive to my needs and enabling me to do the work needed to attend to them, with her tailoring every session to whatever came up rather than sticking to a particular format which again worked well for me. I found that with this she built up trust quickly with me, enabling me to go deeper with her and identifying particular challenges whilst also offering appropriate comfort which allowed for freedom of expression knowing that I could do so without negative consequences but rather with support and enabling in healthy choices and actions. Please therefore consider Ms Ahmet for any commendation that your organisation may offer for acknowledgement and reward of good service.

I’m sure many would not review but in my case feel that required as a long way still to heal. Indignities go hand in hand with total mismanagement. I am still coming to terms and moving forward positively with my mental healthcare supported by professionals in this field. My family and supportive wife always by my side.
