   I’ve now had two sessions with Denise, spaced apart to allow my body time to recover — and the results have been absolutely amazing. Denise is incredibly thorough and intuitive; she listens carefully and works with your body rather than against it. After each session, I felt quite tired and a little tender around the areas she worked on, which she explained is completely normal — especially post-surgery. After having a hysterectomy, these sessions have made a real difference in promoting internal healing and helping my body repair itself in a deeper way. What I really appreciate is how professional Denise is. She’s never pushy about booking more sessions, and she completely respects that every body is different. She encourages you to come back only when you feel you need to, which feels really empowering and respectful. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares and understands how to support healing in a gentle, effective way — I can’t recommend her enough.

   First time I had ever had Bowen technique. I was so impressed I was in so much pain from a lower back pain I had got suddenly. I was recommended to go to Denise so glad I did. Denise is very caring. Puts you at ease very quickly and after two sessions. My back was so much better and now back to normal.    Denise was recommended by a friend and when I arrived at the treatment room, a client told me Denise has "magic hands"! Not knowing what quite to expect, with being in pain with tennis elbow and tendonitis, a long wait to be seen by the NHS, I had nothing to lose. All I can say is... her previous client was correct...she does have Magic hands ! After my first session I gained some movement without pain. She guided me through exercises, and after a second session am feeling the benefits! Highly recommended.

   I went to Denise originally for c-section scar tissue massage/release. After completing the questionnaire we quickly discovered that there were other areas to take a look at. Denise is a warm presence and made me feel at ease immediately. I could feel the effects after just one session. I then looked forward to our second session, where I actually fell asleep because I was so relaxed. I highly recommend this technique for anyone who feels they need some re-balancing in their body or just a moment to relax. I'd highly recommend Denise too. Her passion for the technique shines through and everything about her presence is so relaxing and supportive. I can't wait to go back!

   Denise has worked on my neck/back and on previous scar tissue and swelling from a broken leg and ankle. The results are amazing! The swelling/scarring on my leg has decreased, i can now comfortable wear some long boots which previously felt uncomfortable on the leg. I have a sense of calm and grounding and have felt great since my first session.

   After seeing various Doctors regarding vertigo and being offered lots of tablets to no avail I went to see Denise for Bowen Therapy. Denise explained about Bowen and was very positive about the outcome. After the treatment I felt very relaxed, the next day I felt amazing. The tension I normally have in my back and shoulders had gone and I have not had a dizzy episode since (over 2 months ago). I would definitely recommend Bowen Therapy and Denise McAvoy and wouldn't hesitate to contact her for treatment again if needed.

   I was given Denise’s number by a friend who had previously gone to her, after a car accident my neck had very limited movement and after seeing Denise on a few occasions this greatly improved. The Bowen treatment works with your central nervous system I believe. The treatments I had have absolutely made a big difference and I have a lot more movement because of this, I would definitely recommend this as a form of treatment, it is totally relaxing and extremely gentle. Dense is absolutely lovely, Denise is thorough and extremely professional, this is definitely my go to treatment if you have any aches and pains.
