Constantly cancelling appointments using lame excuses of "unforeseen circumstances". Appointments cancelled at short notice after waiting weeks to get an appointment. Definitely do not recommend. No duty of care, just want to make money.
Would give more stars if I could. I have a very anxious child and Dr Lee and his assistant Nurse Paris just worked their magic. Amazing.. no fuss and no hanging around. Clear communication, hugely knowledgeable and professional on every level and most importantly in paediatric dental medicine. Very intuitive to the patient too. Like he knew what my child was thinking. Explaining all the steps and what was going to happen in a way that he understood and completely put him at ease Pure magic.
Just a checkup which took no more than10 minutes plus friendly chat. Cost me £77, which works out at £462 per hour. E£30 for the checkup would have been reasonable. I'd have paid more if expert treatment had been needed.
This was my first visit to Coulsdon Dental Practice, and it was for a bit of an emergency – but from the moment I arrived, I felt reassured. Every member of staff I encountered was kind and professional, and I really can’t fault the service. A special thank you to my dentist, Anum, who truly went above and beyond. She took the time to explain each step of the process, showed me the problems clearly on the X-rays, and talked me through the options in a calm, clear, and caring way. The dentist has always been a source of anxiety for me, but today I felt completely safe, informed, and well looked after. I’m genuinely grateful for the care I received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone – especially those who may feel nervous about going. Thank you! Tanya Xx
I received bad service from this dentist. I got my chipped tooth fixed three weeks ago for £229 and it has already fallen out. I am unhappy with the service I received and do not recommend them.
Been going to this clinic for over ten years now (all be it i was a child for most of that time) but in the last few years since covid the organisation of the practice has been worse than ever. I had three sets of appointments cancelled, to then find out months later that my dentist has left and that is why they were cancelled. They do not run Saturday appointments anymore either, im sure thats not very helpful for parents. Most recently i was meant to have an appointment today which i booked following my previous appointment and booked specifically for this week as i have a reading week from uni so would be able to make the journey back for it, infact i put the appointment into my phone at the practice there and then. When i turn up the receptionist rudely told me my appointment was actually the 17th of march and that i had gotten it wrong. I told the receptionist to cancel the appointment as i would be at uni and therefore could not attend. She didnt seem to understand the concept of me not being available for an appointment as she offered to rebook it. Then again how can i trust that they would be able to book it on the correct date when the girl who booked the previous appointment clearly couldn’t.
I don't usually write reviews but this one is a must! This practice has completely gone down hill! Been with them for over 10 years, have never had a problem until recently. Since change of reception staff I have had 4 appointments cancelled in a row, all with just 30mins notice before my actual appointment time. Twice I was actually sat outside the practice waiting for my appointment. 3 times I rebooked while on the phone to them after they have told me my appointments been cancelled. All 3 times they did not actually book me in so I have turned up to the said appointment for me not to be booked in! 7 times I have completely wasted my time, taken days off work and drove down from Crawley where I work to be told appointments cancelled or not booked in! Same thing happened again to my children's appointment that was booked 6 months in advance. Unfortunately our original appointment date had to be cancelled by us due to a bereavement. I rebooked again (all via email as they don't answer the phone), called up again today to confirm the appointment for tomorrow as I didn't want the same usual thing that happened to me, to be told they are not booked in! Suprise suprise! Even though I have email confirmation of the appointment and our correspondence! Honestly don't even bother with this practice! Incompetent reception staff. The actual dentist staff are amazing, always friendly and welcoming, however reception staff are all very rude, unsympathetic and clearly don't have a clue what they are doing! Every time I have gone in I have seen 3 girls Minimum sitting at front desk taking yet when you call not one single person answers. You have to leave a message or email!
Friendly staff at reception and was pleased with my checkup, first one for a while but was smooth and got some dental advice for my son and his new teeth too which was appreciated as I had lots to ask. Thank you manager Katy for your helpfulness with all my questions about kids dentists too, all new to me but she had the answers for us.
An existing, loyal customer of 7 years, I tried to book an emergency dentist appointment as my tooth is really hurting. Was told the next available appointment was February (5 months away!) or I should phone 111. Why not keep back some emergency appointments each day? Service has gone downhill since COVID and I'll be finding a new dental practice.
I had an appointment at the practice to review my teeth that lasted barely 5 minutes where I was told my teeth were health and was charged £100.00!! As my teeth have been a bit sensitive on and off I went 2 months later to a different dentist at another practice and they found 2 spots with tooth decay that needed to be treated straight away. The dentist at the Coulsdon Dental Practice didn’t bother to check my teeth properly. Will not be returning there.
