   I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this dental practice. I called on Wednesday to book an appointment because my existing gold filling had fallen out. Over the phone, I was told the prices were £10 for an X-ray and £40 for a check-up. I clearly explained that I had a full dental check-up only three months ago in Korea, but was told “that doesn’t count in the UK.” I attended my appointment on Friday afternoon. The dentist simply re-cemented my original gold filling. There was no X-ray taken and no dental check-up performed. When I went to pay, I was shocked to be charged £155. When I questioned the bill, I was told it included an X-ray and a check-up. I pointed out that no X-ray was taken, and the price was reduced to £145. I then explained again that I did not receive a check-up either. At this point, the explanation changed. I was told the appointment had been registered as an “emergency”, which is simply untrue. I never requested an emergency appointment and was never informed that it was being booked as one. On top of this, I was told that the check-up fee was £45, despite being clearly told £40 on the phone when booking. When I raised this, I was dismissed and told that I must have “heard it wrong,” rather than the clinic acknowledging the discrepancy. Three members of staff continued to give contradictory and unreasonable explanations. I was even told that next time I should ask about “NHS capacity” when calling, which is unacceptable — it is the clinic’s responsibility to clearly explain prices and appointment types at the time of booking. I made it very clear that I had no issue paying £100 for re-cementing the filling, but charging £45 for a check-up that never took place is not acceptable. Despite this, I was forced to pay the full £145. To make matters worse, even after 10 days the surface of the filling still does not feel smooth, suggesting the treatment was not properly finished, and the reception staff were neither polite nor professional. This experience felt misleading, poorly managed, and unfair. I would strongly advise others to confirm all fees in writing before attending, as prices and explanations appear to change after treatment.

   Im always happy with my experience at the London Road Dental Centre Croydon. The two female receptionists are always so sweet, welcoming, and helpful over the phone and in person. They managed to book me in quickly for a next day appointment when I complained of tooth pain. I had a check up and a private cleaning with the dentist and her assistant, and they both did a great job…Everything was explained clearly, from the procedure to the aftercare (flossing). Additionally they also let you know the prices before carrying anything out and ask if you’re happy to proceed. I’ve been coming here with my family for over 10 years, and the care has always been consistently excellent. I wouldn’t go anywhere else ♡ 5*

   I bring my child here who has a disability and also has autism, the staff are extremely caring, understanding and give us the best experience whenever we attend. As a parent with a SEN child it's difficult to manage any appointments but the staff at London road always go above and beyond to make sure we have a smooth running appointment, from the minute we book to the moment we leave, I couldn't thank the team enough. Excellent service.

   Have been a patient for over 20years. My experience has always been positive. They have shown care, attention and given good advice. Communication is good. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. They keep one informed of appointments and always call the morning/afternoon of appointment as a reminder. Today confidence in myself was restored. I feel I can smile again. Thank you all at London Road Dental Centre.

   Dr. Khalid is the only dentist I've been seeing in the last year and a half. My teeth have seen too many breaks and fillings in the past couple of years, which I've only had temporary work done by private dentists to fix! She is upfront about costs and I knew she truly cared about the state of my teeth when she took her time to ensure the filling on my broken tooth was done properly and carefully. As expensive as the dentistry has been, I feel assured that she only gives me the best options that will only end in taking good care of my teeth! Thank you Dr. Khalid :)

   How amazing was my visit at the clinic! I saw an amazing dental hygienist Lady (I forgot her name form all the excitement). She did a better job with my teeth clean and polish than I received in one of the Harley Street dental clinics. But it was not only me who she impressed. I came with my daughter who has a dentist phobia after horrible experience in the past ant a different clinic and to my amusement her teeth were done as well. The way the hygienist talked to her won her trust. The clean was nearly painless for both of us, results were best ever! I will not go anywhere else now. I was so pleased to receive nearly “private patient” service from NHS dental clinic for NHS price. Thank you❤️

   I have been registered here for 20 odd years. Unfortunately years ago a certain dentist (who is no longer there) botched a root canal, but for the past 10 yrs or so Dr Smita Donde has been amazing. Today she was very patient and understanding with my cracked tooth and the pain I was in. She is a treasure!

   Communication is very poor. I was seen 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I did not realise I was expected to pay for my check-up on the way out of my appointment. This was not communicated by the dentist or by the receptionist who looked directly at me on my way out of the door without saying a word. They then phoned me when I was halfway home to state I hadn't paid. I apologised and said I would come back to pay, only to be told when I returned that I could have paid on the phone. What a waste of my time! Communicate these things clearly so there is no unnecessary confusion.
