   AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely shocking practice with dentists who are under qualified and stab you in the mouth with their equipment. I’ve been back to this place to fix my retainer 3 times in the past year. Shoddy customer service. Never available on the phone, always go to voicemail and then mailbox full because so many are calling to complain and book in. Avoid avoid avoid.

   I was a patient here since Jan 2018. Last month I was running 15 mins late for an appointment. I rang to apologise and the receptionist told me as it’s the second missed in 7 years I have to change dentists, giving the reason I was a “waste of chair space” - a sentence repeated to me five times in as many mins. I think that’s beyond an unprofessional way to speak to a patient, or even a person. I did not want to change dentists as the first dentist I was seeing at the practice (Mr C Smith) - broke a tooth while working on adjacent one which led to a removal. My last appointment (with Mr O Madhar) was trying to understand why the root canal he gave me still has feeling and pain over a year later. A hospital scan was being arranged but now I’ve been left without contact. I have to now sign up to a new dentist, wait for my first appointment so they can have a fresh look at things and go from there.

   Cannot recommend these guys enough. Friendly, generous and actually listen to you, not to mention talented. I got a VERY deep filling replaced and you would never even know it wasn’t a tooth!! Amazing, thank you!

   Showed up for my appointment just to be told by the nurse (who was filling in as the receptionist that day) that my appointment has been cancelled by the doctor - without letting me know. No missed calls, no email or text message from the dental surgery which is just rude and unprofessional. The next available appointment is of course not until next month... Save yourself the disappointment and choose a dentist who is actually organised, they can't even get the basics right.

   After some trouble with another dentist, Dr. Onkar has been really amazing in addressing my dental issues. Always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, he has gone above and beyond to make sure I get the best treatment possible. His assistant Juliana and him create a professional, warm and welcoming environment that has always put me at ease throughout the process. Personalised service at its best from a dentist who makes you feel that he genuinely cares about your wellbeing.

   Normally I have always had sedation when I have been to the dentist.But today for the first time I had no sedation and not even a numbing injection due to the amazing caring doctor Onkar. He took the time to encourage me to try without the sedation and trust him. He was right I got through the whole appointment without needing any. Thank you so much Dr Onkar. Caroline.

   Had a horrible experience recently at this dentist! I was here just under a year ago and spoke to a lovely asian lady on reception who was extremely helpful and professional, this time round it has been awful and horrible trying to get information and appointments. Disappointed this practice has gone down hill.

   I had treatment with Dr. Onkar in Nov and Dec 22 and he did an excellent job with my two fillings; he also cleaned my teeth very gently; I have sensitive gums due to pregnancy and they can bleed a lot but they hardly did with him. He works with the lovely Daniela who’s assisting him along the way and is also very gentle with the mouth aspirator. I think I found my favourite dentist (and I went to loads). Highly recommend Dr. Onkar

   Love EC1 Dental and especially love Dr Onkar! He is such an excellent and kind dentist, super professional and always walks you through what he's doing. I hate the sound of the drill and the feeling of anything on my teeth but he made me feel so relaxed when I went recently for a clean. He also carried out an extraction for my boyfriend and he was so caring and helpful. Every time I come in he greets me and remembers exactly what we talked about last time which is such a lovely touch. Cannot recommend him enough! The receptionist and nurses are all super lovely too.
