Five staff around the store doing various jobs yet nobody to approve self scan. After waiting a minute I went to go find someone who looked as if I'd asked him to move a mountain...

This particular Sainsbury’s store has staffing issues. It’s my local store (unfortunately) and it’s common that there are no staff at all on the checkouts, nobody on the “manned” checkouts and nobody supervising the self checkouts. There are clearly staff in store, who knows what they are doing. Think I’ll be walking to the store on Oxford Road henceforth, that’s much better staffed, never once had the same issue there.

Whilst the maple syrup is a little over my budget, the consistency in vegan hoisin wrap availability keeps me sane. Thanks sains!

Queues often snake through the isles as they generally have 1 person on checkout. But today literally ALL their fridges and freezers were, “broke due to the warm weather”, so I’ve left with nothing

1.Staff are zombies - go to self checkout, wait for approval or need help and they just don't do anything sometimes just stare at you even though they can see the big red light flashing. 2.When the shop gets busy you can't move, yeah it's small but it's laid out so poorly no space for a queue as it's all the way down the booze aile and blocking anyone trying to shop - again staff don't help, nobody jumps on a till or helps get the queues moving. Worst conscience store in city centre by a mile, only successful as it's the only peoper shop in the area.

Just got ID'd by someone who i'm nearly a decade older than, who could clearly see i'm 30 years of age. I asked to speak to his supervisor, to see if there was any common sense lying somewhere else in the store. He then called over another spotty faced young person who was born in the 2000s. Baring in mind im 6ft with a full beard and over a decade older than the required age I started showing the two teenagers my grey hairs in a final desperate attempt to get my bottle of wine. They refused me service both absolutely knowing I'm many many years older than both of them. Two members of staff on an absolute power trip instead of doing their jobs. I've been buying food and drink there for so many years but don't think I'll be going back again. V disappointed. Supervisor was called Tommy for reference.

I’ve lived round the corner for 2 years now and Im always popping in! Always kind staff and security however this young blonde who I’ve never see before was very rude!!! (Genuinely shocked) She needs to learn some manners and to know how to talk to people politely.
