They’ve started skimping on paper bags now that were available for fresh baked products. Now it’s just a leaf of paper. It’s so difficult to carry anything in it. I saw someone drop their croissant because they’ve replaced bags with just a sheet of paper!! Lol. I wonder what’s next. Just carry it in your hands!?

Security guard is unprofessional and absolutely rude. He gave such an unhelpful response when a lady was asking for assistance this morning for the till. If you don’t like your job don’t take it out on people. It’s obvious you were not clear and in fact you were aggressive in responding to her when she asked politely.

Rude staff. Accused of not scanning fish … the same item was locked in security case some time before. They are very afraid of people stealing fish??? Otherwise, good selection of items.

I had a truly disappointing experience at Tesco Express recently. I went in to check a National Lottery ticket, which I had purchased from that very store — something well within a customer’s right to do. What followed was 10 to 15 minutes of total confusion at the till. The staff clearly had no idea how to check the ticket. They kept fiddling with the machine, passing the ticket back and forth, and still couldn’t figure it out. In the end, rather than taking responsibility or even offering basic customer support, they rudely told me to go to another shop — as if I was being a burden simply for using a service they are supposed to provide. As a customer, if I purchase a lottery ticket from your store, then I expect you to check it and payout any winnings (within the allowed limit). That’s the basic agreement of offering National Lottery services — it’s not optional. If your team isn’t trained to handle this, then why even offer lottery tickets in the first place? What made things worse was the lack of courtesy. Not a single apology, no explanation, no effort to help — just confusion and then dismissal. That’s unacceptable, especially coming from a brand like Tesco. I hope this feedback leads to better staff training, improved customer service, and accountability. Tesco customers deserve better than being made to feel like an inconvenience for something so simple and straightforward.

Find the staff rather rude most days with no time for customers. Wierd as the sales mostly comes from university patrons.Today I found a product sell by date was 12th October. The Security guy was not happy I had the item? Need a better Manager!

Regular at this store for 3 years, firstly the staff are rude A F! There’s one polite girl but the rest (mostly men) are all moody and either just sit on their phones or chat to other colleagues at the edge of the counter. When there’s a problem with the self checkout or something needs age verifying, they dawdle over to scan their card with a look on their face that says “Cba” then walk back not saying a word like it’s such a chore for them. Secondly the prices are ridiculous even with a Clubcard. I know there’s a cost of living crisis and they have less stock but just for an idea of how expensive it is now, Own brand fresh orange juice 1L was £1.45 at the beginning of the year. Middle of the year it went to £1.50 and now it’s £1.65 it’s a joke. Lastly the store gets so crowded it actually gives me anxiety, it’s so claustrophobic and people go in every direction it’s super annoying, I don’t think there’s a 1 way system anymore. Tried to think of some positives but can’t think of any other than the fact that it’s close by.

Must be an AWFUL place to work! A young boy had his arm in a sling and the store manager wouldn’t let him leave. Absolutely disgraceful the poor boy could barely do anything and I heard him say “hope a&e isn’t too bad after this” so he even needed to go to a&e… absolutely awful. Can say I won’t be going back here I’ll be going to another supermarket instead !
