Very good shop. I go before school alot and there are lots of snacks to choose from to get me though school. Meal deals have a wide selection and sometimes purchase.

I live in cheadle Hulme , close to this Co-op, and I often visit the shop. Unfortunately, almost every time I go there, I feel uncomfortable because of how I’m treated — especially by a staff member named Julian and another older Chinese gentleman. Today, I went to the till for a valid reason, but before I could even explain why I was standing there, Julian told me to “go aside” and immediately started serving the person behind me. He didn’t give me a chance to speak or ask what I needed. His attitude was extremely rude and dismissive. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt this way — there’s a clear feeling of disrespect and racial bias whenever I visit this store. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated equally and with basic courtesy. I’m posting this publicly because I want Co-op to investigate this incident seriously. I have video evidence of what happened, and if this matter is ignored, I will consider taking legal action for discriminatory treatment. I hope Co-op management addresses this issue properly so that no other customer has to experience this kind of behaviour again

Alright shop but by the way they cook the bacon in the hot sandwiches you'd think this is a coop funeral / cremation shop. I have raised this issue with the store repeatedly but it doesnt change. When in at 9am today all cremated to high heaven before being left to sit and harden up further in the hot chicken bit. I have been to multiple other coops qnd their hot bacon sandwiches are same items but cook less so fine and edible to eat.

Called in to the Co Op on my way home from work for a few items. The gentleman who was tidying the wine shelves stopped what he was doing to serve me and pack my bags. He was very polite and helpful. I will not hesitate to shop there again.

One of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. The man working on the till was unbelievably rude; I actually thought it could be a hidden camera show. Not many people go into a store to be told off by a store assistant- it was like a scene from Faulty Towers. The shop assistant took umbrage that I hadn't scratched off the full panel from a scratch card. He didn't explain with any clarity what the problem was, he just gave it me back and told me I was holding up the other customers. After my public dressing-down, I thought I would pass it onto the assistant manager as a training issue - big mistake! He said that the rude customer service was a cultural difference, stating "that's how they are in Hong Kong". Nice touch - besmirch a whole region based on one person's actions. He even went on to suggest that some regulars (masochists) enjoy their regular roasting. If you're nostalgic and want to reminisce about being scolded by the school dinner lady -this is the store for you.

The manager is rude and ignorant and incapable of saying hello or thankyou. The younger staff are pleasant enough but the older Asian gentleman is inpatient and unfriendly and rushes you at the till. As with another reviewer, I'm considering a letter of complaint because it's always been as described. Prices on the high side.

very poor customer service and completely RUDE! Recently moved nearby with my girlfriend and daughter and is my local food shop upon my first visit around 11 o'clock last monday I was met at the till by a man rushing all the customers snatching items off them and telling them to pay quickly there was wasn't much of a line only around 3 people and there was another member off staff stocking shelves, it got to me and I was getting my money out to count it there was only 2 people behind me at this point and before i could give him the money he has started serving the customers behind me. On my next visit on friday I was with my 4 month old daughter walking round getting my shopping when she started to cry like babies do when they are teething so i rushed to the till to pay for my items, the assistant behind the counter straight away looked at me and said 'can you make your baby stop' i was told the assistant that she was teething and she continued to that 'my daughter is to young to be teething' i told her she was 4 months old and her teeth are trying to come through then she carried on by saying 'you're too young and inexperienced for a baby are you sure you know what you are doing' Absolutely speechless! I'll be writing to head office about this too, as i am not the only one who thinks that this store needs some new staff or better training.
