MEGA RIPOFF! MEGA RUDE! MEGA MISOGYNY! My experience today has been SHOCKING. Me and my family used to come here all the time, we loved it. I’d come after college and we’d be able to afford LOADS of stuff for cheap. The till man was mint, he was the backbone of the shop. Since my mum passed, I’ve not been down for ages due to relocating however I was local and needed to buy a portable charger. I had 10 quid to my name which used to be enough to buy lunch, a dessert and even TWO vapes. I went in and asked “hello, I need to buy a portable charger for £10. That’s my budget.” The new man storms over to the till, side eyeing me and saying “the cheapest one we have is £24.” I looked over, and saw one for £12. It still wasn’t enough. So I said “My limit is £10. Are you sure you don’t have anything similar?” He rolls his eyes at me again. So I just said “no thanks” and left. I checked My bag for any change and I found £1.97 change. I was 3p short, so I go back in and he sharply says “what do you want now?” I state I almost have enough to buy the £12 charger. He says “no, it’s an electronic till. You cannot use both cash and card.” Then I give Up and ask what cheap vapes he’s got since mine needed charging and I was a while away from home: Again he says in a condescending tone “nothing that you can afford.” I spot one for £6 in a flavour I liked And asked him to get it for me. He slams it in front of me, and says “that one now?” I didnt Like the aggression. I flinched. He had this hint of hatred in his eyes. It was very clear to me he was trying to intimidate me. I said “no thank you. I dont Like your aggression towards me,” and I left. Years ago, this was our community’s haven for buying ANYTHING for a reasonable price. Now it’s gone to the dogs. Everything is overpriced, the service I received today was UNACCEPTABLE. I’m not supporting a business with staff that makes women flinch. I’ve seen other reviews saying the same thing.

I purchased a car charger for £10 which stopped working after just 2 days. When I went back to exchange it, the owner was rude and unhelpful, refusing to give me a replacement. Very poor customer service and bad attitude – I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.

Honestly I can't believe how rude the guy is in this shop. Obviously has an issue with women, or maybe just me. Been in a few times out of necessity. On one visit at 3pm I was told he's "been trying to eat lunch since 2pm" like I was an inconvenience. On another visit I was told that my parcel had been there too long and it was now under a "massive pile and you'll have to wait while I get it from the very bottom" (it had been there 2 days, evri give you 10 days to collect). Then when I went in to post a parcel, I informed him of this and he just pointed to the machine and said "over there". Now on my final visit, whilst another, new, polite man was getting me my parcel, I was told that "anyone who denied knowing they needed ID to collect a parcel is lying cos you get a text and an email telling you". I never denied getting the text or email, I said to the other man I forgot my bank card but I could show him the email, text and my bank card on google pay as proof of ID and where the parcel was ordered from which was stated on the box I was picking up. If you have such an issue with people coming to collect and drop off evri parcels then don't be a parcelshop. You get paid to do it, yet every time I go in I am treated like an inconvenience and like I shouldn't be there. I have never been repeatedly spoken to as disgustingly as I have by this man in a shop before and I will not be visiting again. Such a shame as it is close by and if I need anything I would purchase it from here whilst collecting parcels but I'll go to Nisa if I need anything in future. If anyone's looking for an evri parcelshop in the local area that doesn't speak to you like you have no brain then I recommend Wendover Road post office.

Tried to take something back. Was told it was my fault the it was broken - was still in the packaging. Started getting abusive with me and would even swap the item. I didnt was a refund just an exchange. But refused. Will not go here again.

Asked for £20 gas and £20 electric. The guy in there give me no electric and put £40 on my gas telling me he has put 20 on each. I went in to tell them and they just told me it's not his fault, it was just an accident. It wasnt my fault either that he had made that mistake! When the ower got involved he just said "what do you want me to do about it?" He said alls I can do so put you £5 electric on and pay me back next time. not being funny but that wasnt my fault that his employer made that mistake. I dont need £40 gas in 25 degree heat. I need £20 electric for all my household stuff. Disappointed massively as I have never had a problem with these. They could have dealt with my situation better.

Ok so I’m a huge advocate of supporting small local businesses so where possible I would choose to shop here over large diy stores. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I gave three stars after realising that the price of products and services are dependant on who you are and what you look like, I clearly look like a mug, I went to get my phone screen fixed and I was charged £30, my partner went in and enquired about the same phone and was told £20..... so on these grounds I don’t feel I can support businesses who operate with these types of shady tactics, I run my life of principles, I don’t go out of my way to harm people, I don’t rip people off and try to do the right thing at all times, Iv even helped customers in the store off my own back. Wish this shop all the best in these hard times but I feel like my loyalty has been abused and so going forward I can never shop here again. Wicks is actually closer to my home.
