On the door it says the post office is open until 8pm. I went in at 5 to 7pm and it was closed.

Honestly, the most useless Co-op ever. They never have anyone properly trained to use the Post Office counter—or they claim they don’t. Either way, the staff always seem unwilling to help. What’s the point of advertising an out-of-hours Post Office service if you can never actually operate it?

Completely unsatisfactory service tonight. Everyone was behaving like they were completely miserable and didn’t want to be there and was moving with no urgency whatsoever. After walking around the shop to get my items, I took myself to the self-checkout as there was no one at the till. An issue came up when I was trying to buy bread. No one came to fix the issue and I looked around and there wasn’t even anyone in sight I could call over. When someone eventually came they couldn’t fix the issue so asked me to finish my purchase and come to the till to get the bread separately. I couldn’t do this because they walked away without rectifying it so that I could pay for what I had bagged. I had to unpack everything and go to the checkout. Still only one staff member around despite the growing queue. At this point it’s taken me over five minutes to buy bread which I would just leave if I didn’t need it. Finally someone comes and opens another till. When I get to the till someone else gets called to check the price of the bread but walking at snails pace. I’ve been coming to this store for over two years and never used to have any problems. I’ve noticed ever since the self checkouts were installed getting served takes eons if you need to pay with cash or you’re having issues with self-service. And to top it all off as I was leaving someone came in store WHILST riding their electric bike. They did absolutely nothing about it! Nearly knocked me over as I was trying to get out of the shop

A friendly shop with all the basics you need, post office and cash machine inside too, disabled parking right outside the door with a ramp for easy access

A bit pricey but I get the near to date things some good bargain's update:: since I wrote review things have changed in a big way everything has gone up in price experdentally I know it has everywhere but more at co-op there home brand's are the worst that's if they are on sale because I've noticed that the bargain products are really declining so you are forced to buy the more expensive option not looking good for the future.

Post Office inside a Co-op. Friendly staff... good selection of food, veg and chocolate - incl. £1 price drop chocolate and confectionary. One PO counter was closed when I went (Sat AM). About 8-10 parking spaces available outside.
