   Nice store. I've visited several times and have always got everything I need. The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are good. Happy to keep shopping here.

   First time in this shop and first time in 13 years of shopping I've ever been treated as a pottential thief. I won't be spending my 100+quid of weekly shopping there, that's for sure. Management should definitely get a grip and have a think about it. So, I line up all my products on the conveyor belt occupying almost the full length of it and while waiting for my turn, I spread my shopping bags wide open in the trolly, so they can faster accept my groceries and I don't have to faf about, also saving time for the cashier. Here comes my turn and the cashier asked me to lift the bags which could easily be seen to be empty and flat bottom on the trolly. I'm like O_o. OK, never been asked in my entire life to do something like that, but then I start to figure out that my face looks foreign to the highly educated bloke at the desk, so he's having a go at me for it. Anyway, after I proved to him there are no sheets of paper hiding horizontally under the bags, loaded up my stuff and paid, I asked him: what was this with the bags all about and if I looked dodgy? To which he replied: oh, it's a policy, it's for everyone. Well, I didn't see him or any of his colleagues asking other people to lift their bags, and I paid with my credit card and if I can be traced to my name and address, and there is definitely CCTV in the shop, clearly if this was some real security policy for random checks, then it is absolutley idiotic, because it makes absolutely no sense. I understand that the country is going downhill, but I don't feel great when being targetted based on the way I look while I'm paying for four jobless families to have a good living without doing much. ALDI at Wath - waste of my time.

   To the woman on the tills tonight: how long have you been getting away with that passive-aggressive, condescending attitude towards customers? Do you treat your colleagues and managers the same way? You’ve clearly been allowed to get away with it so long that you have it down to a ‘T’. When you’re busy chatting and not noticing a customer waiting, please don’t take offense when someone calls out for help. I usually love Aldi for being a budget supermarket, but this kind of customer service really drives home the “budget” feel in the worst way. In 30 years of food shopping, I’ve never experienced this at competitor stores. Really disappointing

   Value for money, staff are polite and respectful, however I feel uncomfortable is this store due to the security guards they have working there, every time I go in the security guards follow me around and then stand at the main door once I reach the checkout area, it’s to patterned and happens every time I go into this store to be a coincidence. I feel I am being wrongly judged as some kind of shoplifter due to my neurological ticks (Tourette’s syndrome) and my social anxiety. I don’t get this from the staff here, just the security guards. There watching the wrong type of people!

   Great selection of items with full shelves & decent dates on in the run up to Christmas. Store was very busy, but enough staff on to accommodate expanded check outs. We were impressed. Decent vegan range & a number of routine items gluten free as standard

   A pretty decent representative of the Aldi brand , a recent store so it is up to date, quite sizeable with a pretty good amount of stock , I would prefer to shop here than one of the big 3 supermarkets, they are very good, though I'm sure that they are constantly stocking at least one area of the store
