   Argh! I can’t hold back any longer. The store gets a three or four but the staff get a one! On three successive visits here the staff have been ignorant and often seem half asleep! Time and time again I find myself in a growing queue with only a handful of items and frustratingly waiting for way too long. One girl on the till, looking down, taking her time is blissfully unaware of the growing queue, (some pulling faces) and has to be asked to put a call out by me for help from one of the other 3/4 staff members clearly visible on the shop floor. Open another till please. Mindfulness is something many staff don’t seem to have. Slowly dealing with one customer, chatting away, or with another staff member! Last time I was in, the plants were dying, then the same issue at the till, when I did ask for another till to be opened I nearly got flattened by other customers behind me dashing to the newly opened till. How rude! So ignorant customers as well with no mindfulness or common sense either. Just like the area this place has gone down hill. Those dying plants prompted this feedback. Yes it was hot but this store had just got plain lazy. Staff need to wake up, look up! And be more aware of what needs doing. And smile, some look so miserable. (This is also true of other HB stores but this one is by far the worst for growing queues and not enough staff on the tills.) A self service area is long overdue - removing this issue - but more staff on the till at the right time would also fix it. Wobbly business noted? Sort it out HB!

   Clean, good parking, lots of bargains on everyday household items. Some are lot cheaper than the larger supermarkets. Quiet and well maintained, great for picking up household cleaning goods, toiletries, snacks, drinks and more including some foods and frozen goods.

   Very clean store Great variety of items on offer Very smart and professional staff. Polite and courteous professional with smile. Very helpful supervisor in grey jacket and kind. Very nice person at the till. Very humble, polite and professional. But... The store manager is earth and sky to other home bargains managers around UK and the staff here. Not smart. No name tag. Can't get and introduce himself. Can't rely to a great or a thank you ( not that he deserved it but one is kind even to such people). He lacks poor communication, courtesy, decorum and any professional conduct and way and crosses his remit as a manager not as Gestapo to all for personal information verbally for all to hear .. If not for the manager I would give 5* experience. In his good mood despite this to give 3*( really should be 2*). I'll think twice if want to come here again

   I use this store a couple of times a month to top up on stuff that is cheaper than Asda. Unfortunately their pricing is not always correct so ensure you check your receipt before leaving. I have been caught out a few times where the price I paid was higher than the price stated on the shelf and I have had to dispute this. Always gets sorted in the end but it is a nuisance having to challenge them.

   Positives...plenty stock on shelves. Store clean and tidy. Great prices too. Negatives....only two checkouts in use. There's a sign hung above the tills saying "more than 3 customers in a queue we'll open another checkout". This wasn't the case. There was a dispute at the till I was waiting at. The manager didn't open another till and there was 9 people waiting. The other one was just as bad. Not a great experience.

   Really good!!!! Loads a stuff ( even branded items) we're cheaper than the supermarket!! Saved £2 sensodyne toothpaste for example!!!

   Love this store. Can always find everything you need for the home a lot cheaper than the bigger superstores. Gets very busy sometimes, however staff are friendly.
