Usually come here all the time but the East Asian / chinese woman at checkout was beyond rude. Spoke to us like we were idiots. Needs proper training. Made to feel embarrassed around the other customers. Had to just be silent. When questioning prices she turned her screen and said “look”. Beyond rude.
Please pay attention to your stock. It’s evident that your staff aren’t carrying out stock rotation efficiently or even worse, not checking the quality of your produce. This pack was absolutely riddled with green mould/fungi. Absolutely disgusting. With the exhorbitant prices you charge for products that are cheaper in all other grocery stores I’d expect the attention to detail in yours to be head and shoulders above everyone else’s.
For a keen home cook, this shop is worth the 45 minute drive for all those items my local supermarkets just don't have. For me it's worth saving up a fairly long list of items to make the trip worthwhile. Nice just to wander around looking at all the interesting international ingredients they have. Parking can be a pain and they don't always have exactly what I want but very good all the same.
I shop here regularly, but today’s experience was truly upsetting. While I was purchasing at the butcher’s counter, the male staff member openly mocked me for my choice of food. His attitude was disrespectful and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Food preferences are cultural and personal, and no customer deserves to be ridiculed in public. I hope the management can provide proper training to ensure all staff treat customers with respect.
A wide variety of Halal goods, good quality and helpful staff. Not the cheapest prices, actually some items are more expensive than Tesco (there are Halal products in Tesco Sheffield), but I don’t mind, given the effort they put to bring all these goods under one roof. The missing star is because their toilets are always out of order.
Shop here every week for speciality stuff i can't get elsewhere but lots of things really let it down. Fresh stuff is sooo over priced and often going off. Papayas for £8 one tiny dragon fruit for £5 each. One time every pack of puffed tofu in the fridge was completely coated in black mold, so dangerous. Prices really need to improve especially in the fruit and veg. If i could find the items i need from there else where i would go somewhere else instead. It's such a shame :(
Been coming here since it opened and at the other store also. It has most nationality products and great choice. Turkish bakery is amazing. Love the Borek. The downside is the prices have steadily increased even before the cost of living crisis. They take it for granted that customers will still come here.
I don't know if people notice when they shop.. But this place is way over priced Fruits vegetables meats are very expensive you can buy more in a supermarket than this place watch out for the price tags as well its not a mistake they purposely confused people. One bag of shopping mix of vegetables fruit and half a chicken £51.78 not coming back again
A whole collection of African, Turkish, and Asian foods ranging from fresh meat, seafood, vegetables and fruits to pastries, condiments, frozen food, drinks and canned foods. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is price tags can be missing for some items.
