Such a delightful find in SB! Brings a slice of Hebden over the hill! Their selection of organic produce and zero-waste options make sustainable shopping feel more fun, the food is delicious - the samosas are a big yes! The staff are knowledgeable and as soon as you walk in you feel welcome. I could spent a lot of time in this shop! Last time I went in I was fed chocolate at the checkout - where else does that happen?? What a valuable local business. If you're in the area and value high-quality, ethical, and sustainable shopping, Artichoke is a must-visit! Thank you for bringing such good vibes to the area!
Fantastic, independently-run natural/vegan food shop. Serves coffee too & refills on washing up liquid, shampoo etc. You've got to visit this place when you're in Sowerby Bridge!!!
Love a visit to Artichoke. We have used them for our veg supplies since they opened and can't fault the great range of seasonal organic vegetables. They also have a great selection of other products, herbs and spices, pulses and others all available to buy by weight. The range of other vegan products means there's always something new and interesting to try and it's great for gifts and hamper fillers. I'd never have discovered the magic of Tartex or Sambal Oelek with out this jewel on Sowerby Bridges high street.

Fantastic idea for a shop, sorely needed in the area and in general. Excellent produce, and willing to source things you ask for that they may not have. Wonderful, lovely, and incredibly helpful staff, always willing to go the extra mile to help you whilst you're there and with lots of tips and ideas for how to use certain goods you're not sure about or haven't used before! The thing that amazed me the most was the pricing. You often hear "the reason we can't go organic is because of the price!", but this shop shows that doesn't have to be the case. The veg was not only much much nicer, but was either around the same price or lower than the supermarket up the road!!!
