I called last week to book a viewing and gave all my details. I was told I’d get a confirmation call, but after a week with no response, I called back only to find the property had already been viewed and put on hold. Because of poor communication, I missed out completely. Really disappointing service for someone looking to rent.

I lived for 6 years in one of the rented house from Spectra. I found that Spectra's owner is very professional and helpful. What I loved was that when ever we had a problem with plumbing or electric, they were sorted immediately. Spectra has their designated plumbers and electricians and Spectra gives you their contact details so any time I had a problem I called them and they came and sorted the problem at first instance. Moreover, forthr boiler there was a membership from British Gas paid by Spectra so gas engineers were coming regularly to service the boiler. Also, in case any problems with the boiler we used to call British Gas and they were coming to fix it immediately and we were not paying for that. There was a time when few rats entered the property. I informed Spectra and the next day rat control guys came and sorted the problem and the same time I informed the Birmingham council and they came after a month and did not help at all. In 6 years the rent was only increased £75. But on my side I paid the rent in time and never got late. When I left the property Spectra returned all my advanced money that I deposited before moving in. In short Spectra is very reliable and professional estate agent and very helpful to it's tenants

All factual information without prejudice, I booked for a viewing on Thursday 14/10 1:30pm lunch time, they sent an emailed changed it to Friday same time at 1:30pm. I work in city centre and have to rush to the property during my lunch break on a Friday. Waited outside for 10 mins, no one show up. Called into their office and they asked me to knock the door and asked the tenants to let me in. It was very very embarrassing as the tenants reluctantly let me in....but to make things worse, the room door was locked. Spectra emailed 20 mins later after I left the property explaining that there were confusion about time. There shouldn't be CONFUSION, you sent me a confirmation email to confirm date/time the viewing!!! I have seen bad property letting agency but never had a no show before until today. They should compensate my travel expenses. I would avoid this property agent at all costs. If this is how they treat their prospective tenants then you can only imagine how they would treat their own tenants.
Spectra Property Services have been absolutely outstanding with management of the property I lived in at 4 Beaconsfield Rd. We never dealt with landlord, but with the agency themselves mostly through a lovely receptionist Sue and the manager Gurdip. They have provided everything we have asked for as a house of 4 people. The property was well maintained by regular cleaner, who came to clean the house every couple of weeks (made a big difference in a shared house!) as well as having Sky+ and very good internet throughout the house... therefore I would like to recommend this company to anyone who wants to rent in Birmingham. It’s been a pleasure, as I feel like they have taken care of us for the whole year, so THANK YOU!!!
Spectra exceeded all my expectations as a property agent. I have been looking to get a house on rent for a couple of weeks when I first came across a property advertised by Spectra. From the moment I called in to inquire, I was highly taken up by the level of professionalism, courtesy and efficiency. They clarified all my queries patiently and whenever I needed to know something that they didn’t know off hand, they got back to me promptly after finding it out. They have a streamlined electronic documentation system which is very comprehensive but also quite user friendly. Most of my contact with Spectra was with Gurdip and Sue and they have been extremely friendly and courteous. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Spectra to anyone looking for property services.
I had bought a care home through auction which was let through Spectra. I found the agents very professional in advertising, negotiating, leasing and prompt in paying rent into the account. I could not have struck such a deal with out their expertise. I found them very easy to approach and kept me updated through out the process. I genuinely felt as if my interests were personal interest of the agents. Above all qualities, the one I commend the most is the honesty and openness of Mr Singh, never through the whole time did I ever doubt his sincerity with me and my interests. This quality was a key in striking the deal and both parties had complete faith and trust in his recommendations, which led to an excellent result. Will definitely recommend this agent, in this complex property market.
