I called and booked for waxing over the phone they quoted me £26 and after adding £6 threading I went to pay and they tried charging me £57! Shame because the ladies seemed friendly. I guess it’s one of those places where it’s better to agree a price beforehand. They also tried upselling different waxes to which I declined (I’m used to sugaring) Not all of the hair was removed either and she put it down to my hair been to thick down, when I wax regularly and don’t often get that comment.

Donna has been colouring and styling my hair for over fifteen years, and I change salons with her on the occasions she has moved. Even with knowing knows exactly what will and won't work with my hair, she takes the time at every appointment to ask how I've found the cut and colour since my last appointment and if there is anything which isn’t working for me. If something isn't working for me she will make suggestions for how to resolve it.
In the years I've been coming to the Urban Rose, the entire team have been friendly and welcoming, making the salon a comfortable place to be. I now also have appointments with Jade on a regular basis for a number of beauty treatments. She takes such pride in her work and gets genuine enjoyment from helping her clients feel good about themselves.

Without a doubt the most horrible hairdressing experience I have ever had. If you want to go to the hairdressers and leave feeling worse than when you arrived, have Donna do your hair.
For some reason Donna had a problem with me saying my hair was curly, even though it is. I had washed my hair the day before and put up in a bun wet - anyone who understands curly hair understands curls can stretch out. The blow dry appointment was a last minute booking on my part.
She told me that my hair was uneven, when I explained was probably due to me just having had a baby and the fact I usually get Deva cuts which is a method for curly hair and they don’t recommend to wear your hair straight due to the method. I Was told that a deva cut isn’t a thing. I advised it is, I’ve had my hair cut by curly specialist for years. to which I was again told it is made up. All you have to do is Google it to see it’s a widely used method for cutting curly hair styles.
if Donna was that concerned by my hair , or my hair is as bad as she has made me feel, a gentle suggestion of booking in a hair cut would have sufficed. Not making a massive song and dance, making faces and generally just being quiet unpleasant.
I’ve never felt so embarrassed whilst getting my hair done. And this is someone with thick curly hair who is used to having to have 2 people do my hair at once in salons. This Was my first time treating myself after having my baby. And Not only did the way Donna spoke to me embarrass me, she did a shoddy job. For someone who claims to know so much about curly hair, she didn’t even section my hair to properly straighten it. The blow dry was something I could achieve with my Remington hair-drying brush at home and the straightening she did wasn’t even done from the root. I was so taken aback that at her attitude and the service I didn’t even know what to say at the time. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

First visit at this gem of a find in hillingdon sports centre. Abbie cut my hair and she was lovely, very experienced and was able to offer advice without prompting and made me feel at ease. If you are considering going here i can assure you high quality. I had my second AMAZING experience here today. My hairdresser Abby did a full hair tint, toner, haircut and blow dry. I feel like sooo good and well. My hair feels healthy and refreshed. Abby is just so lovly and caring every step of the way. This place was really satisfactory.
I had a bad experience about hair color before, so someone recommended me this place.
I went in a day before to do a skin test ensuring color won’t react to my skin.
I had showed pictures and explained what I wanted.
Olivia did my hair she was very considerate and was very polite. She ensured I was okay at all times. She didn’t cut too much of my hair off which I’s what I wanted.
Other staff were very approaching and helpful!
The colors she added on my hair I couldn’t see much at first but as it dried and I went out in day light it looked amazing and I’m so happy.
It’s worth the price I believe.
Would definitely recommend it.

The Urban Rose is an amazing find hidden away in Uxbridge Leisure Centre. I have been a client since it opened and I would highly recommend this salon. The salon itself is decorated with a high finish and is always immaculately cleaned and maintained. The staff are friendly, polite and professional and I have always received outstanding service. I was absolutely thrilled with my “wedding hair” and the photos looked amazing. I also take my two young sons, who are 2 and 4, to have their hair cut at the Urban Rose. The stylists are always patient and attentive and as my 4 year old says, “he wouldn’t have his hair cut by anyone else!”. Thank you!
