Nicoleta always listens to what I want in terms of cut and colour. She is enthusiastic and she recommends her ideas about the cut. I love going to Leah Durrant. Can't recommend them high enough.
Update Thank you for your response. I would like to clarify several points, as your account of events is not accurate and does not reflect how the situation was handled. Firstly, I requested that the phone be handed to my husband, and you accepted this. My husband spoke calmly and respectfully and attempted to explain our concerns clearly. However, during the call, you did not allow him to fully explain the issue or respond to our questions. Our intention in continuing the discussion was not to be rude, but to seek clarification and a fair resolution. We specifically asked what would happen if the redo treatment also failed, as the first treatment did not work at all. You were unable to give a clear answer and stated that nothing like this had happened before. This did not reassure us, and our questions were not properly addressed, which is why we lost confidence in repeating the service. Secondly, regarding the phone call, it was you who hung up the call, not us. If you were uncomfortable speaking to my husband, you could have simply asked to speak to me again. Instead, the call was ended abruptly without resolution. After this, I called you twice only because the call had been disconnected and the matter remained unresolved. These calls were made to continue the discussion, not to harass you. Thirdly, you mentioned that you emailed me. As of now, I have not received any email from you. Please resend it, as I am keen to review anything you have put in writing. #### I had a very disappointing experience at Leah Durrant Salon, Chertsey, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I went in for a keratin treatment after being clearly told that the results would last around 6 weeks. I was also strongly encouraged to buy the salon’s own brand shampoo and conditioner, with the reassurance that using these products was essential for the treatment to last. I trusted their advice and purchased them. Unfortunately, after the first wash, the treatment completely disappeared and my hair went straight back to how it was before. The results did not even last one day, let alone six weeks. Despite following all aftercare instructions and using the products they insisted I buy, there was absolutely no improvement. I returned to the salon to request a refund. The director, Leah, was not present but later called me. During the call, I calmly explained that I was unhappy with the service and no longer trusted the treatment, which is why I did not want a redo. I believe this is a reasonable response when a service has completely failed the first time. Instead of listening or offering a fair solution, I was told that a refund was not possible and that my only option was to redo the treatment. When I said I did not trust the service anymore, Leah accused me and my husband of being rude, which is completely untrue. We spoke calmly and respectfully to both the staff in the salon and during the phone call. The most shocking part was that Leah hung up the call without giving a proper explanation or resolution, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially for a high-priced treatment. Being blamed and labelled as rude simply for expressing dissatisfaction is unfair and unprofessional. Customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or dismissed for asking for accountability when a service does not deliver what was promised. Overall, this experience felt very misleading and left me feeling upset, disappointed, and ignored. I have wasted a significant amount of money on a treatment and products that did not work at all, and the way the situation was handled made it even worse. ❌ Poor results ❌ Refusal to refund ❌ Pressure to buy products ❌ Defensive and dismissive attitude ❌ Very poor customer service I would not return and would not recommend this salon to anyone.
Nicoleta was extremely professional and welcoming. She took me through what I wanted and how could I achieve. Very perfectionist which surprised me for the positive, double checking every step of the process! Thank you for that time and service! Couldn’t recommend more her services!
esme was amazing. she really made my experience there 10/10. she was so welcoming and made me feel jnstamtly welcome, she gave the best advice and honest opinions on what she thought would look the best and evidently pulled through as I'm so so happy with the results. She's a lovely girl and a great hairdresser and from now on will be my designated hairstylist for sure ! x
Esme made sure I was comfortable the whole time as I decided to have a more daring chop and cut off all my whispy ends for a blunt cut. She talked me through everything and made me at ease. Thank you!
Leah Durrant is the only salon I can trust, with myself and my children. I have been a client for several years. The staff are so friendly, to even ask you refreshments and making conversations shows how welcoming they are. Very knowledgeable with what would look well and what may not look or work. Looking forward to my next appointment. All the best ladies!!
Lovely little salon in the heart of Chertsey. I see Kelly and she is brilliant! 5 ⭐️ colour specialist and always does a great job. Only issue can be parking nearby, especially when you are going to be in there 3hrs+
First time attending the salon and I was very happy with my experience, the lady that washed my hair was very friendly and chatty. And Sophie who did my blow dry was also friendly and very chatty I was made to feel super comfortable, despite hating going to the hairdressers and having a bit of a phobia. Will definitely come again now I have discovered it :)
Leah and her team are excellent. Rebecca created my perfect bridal hairstyle, she could truly read my mind. The team were amazing, patient and reliable throughout the trials, they recommended a very good make up artist, and I simply cannot recommend them enough! On the morning of my wedding day, they were very supportive, kept me calm, and sent me off feeling all pretty and relaxed for my big day!
First time visiting the salon today and I had my appointment with Amy. She was so lovely and was very knowledgeable. She gave advice on what products I should be using on my hair and made me feel very comfortable. Definitely will be going again.
