I had a very disappointing experience at this nail salon. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and unprofessional — the shop was extremely quiet with no TV or music on, which made the whole visit awkward. I went with my mum and asked for a full set nude ombré with gems. The nail technician had to redo my nails three times because something was wrong each time. Even after this, the colour looked dark and almost black instead of the nude ombré I asked for. The gems fell off within five minutes of me getting home, and once they did, the nails looked awful as there was glue left all over them. My mum had a full set of gel nails and a gel pedicure. The technician was very rough, making the experience uncomfortable. We had these done specifically for our holiday, but after just two days the gel polish started coming off, which is very unusual. This left the pedicure looking messy and ruined. Overall, the quality of the work was disappointing and did not meet expectations. Given the cost and purpose of the treatments, we expected a much higher standard.
Absolutely amazing!! Got great nails for a great price and they took their time with it too! Went half an hour over their closing time just to make sure the nails were perfect! No complaints - love it!
I’ve been getting gel nails for years and have never experienced this before – the nail lacquer started cracking just a few days after my appointment. I went back to speak to a staff member, who told me I could pop in to have them re-done. I assumed this would be complimentary, but they only offered £5 off the normal price. After some discussion, they charged me £20, which I feel is unreasonable. I understand things can occasionally go wrong, which is why I hadn’t posted a review before now, but the way this was handled left me very disappointed.
Firstly, I used to love getting my nails done here never had anything wrong. I went there for a while now had it twice where they have rushed what they are doing! The salons meant to close at 7 I go around half 5 due to work and they rush to leave for half 6ish. First time they were bad I thought maybe it was me but no second time for my holiday nails the acrylic is breaking and the gel is peeling off! Will never come back after that! I’ve been a loyal customer for some time but now I have to find else where that don’t rush to get out the door!!!!!
Literally just got home from 5 Star Nails and a very poor manicure (infill) service. I had to speak up twice about the roughness of the file by the technician and you can see for yourself by the photo I've attached. The whole service was back and forth between other clients and corners were definitely cut. I asked if cuticle oil would be applied and the lady said no. Never again! The lady who did them also cut my nails down so far they looked horrible - and this ties with other reviews on this review.
I have been going to this nail bar for over 6 months now and won’t be going back! I wanted shellac, a lady started to do my nails and filed them right down then cut them, I was moved to the young lad who then got the false nails out, I said I don’t want that and rudely I was asked what do I want! I told him shellac unfortunately the First Lady had totally ruined my nails and all I ended up with was a clear nail varnish, my nails aren’t shaped and look awful now
Very unhappy. They didnt soak our feet before removing the hard skin. Felt rushed and he made my big toe bleed.wouldnt go again.
Came in for a pedicure and was a walk in, about five mins after my pedicure started about three people walked in all with appointments. There were also two other women already waiting to have their nails done. I had the most rushed pedicure ever, while the two staff rushed around trying to do each person. They didn’t even moisturise my feet after scraping and exfoliating them! So now my feet are incredibly sore! Rather than turn me away because they were too busy (which I would have preferred) they gladly took my money and did half a job!
Three weeks later and my gel manicure is still perfect. I tripped and broke a nail a week in and they fixed the broken end for me, free of charge. Excellent colour selection. Staff are friendly and speedy, which I love, but it’s worth noting that they’re not chatty, so if you’re after that all round “luxury” experience then it’s not for you. If like me you want to just get in and get out with excellent nails, it’s perfect.
